I think we should just Logan's Run all the old people and get back to work. The herd immunity will just naturally run it's course through the youngsters while they watch Wonder Woman 84 at the theaters.
Missed plandemic opportunity with Trolls World Tour.

Do you not understand how herd immunity stops the transmission chain?

The choice is how many people should die and how quickly they should die in the meantime.

Apparently the sky is the limit for both as far as Darrin is concerned.

You just want to slap fight on the internet all day. I'll pass.

I asked you one question, Darrin. Turns out you're not as tough as you claimed.

    All bluster.

I get the absolute need for herd immunity. I still think you don't quite understand how it works.

I have family members at risk, too.

What do you think will come first, a vaccine, or herd immunity?
sorry have more bad news on herd immunity front

    https://www.theatlantic.com/science/...munity/610762/

The immunity tests were supposed to be a “game changer,” but they are instead revealing that the majority of Americans are still vulnerable to COVID-19 infection.

But if the first results from antibody surveys, also known as “serosurveys,” in the U.S. are anything to judge by, simply not enough people are immune. Too many Americans are still vulnerable to COVID-19 infection for these tests to be the “game changer” that many were hoping for.

In New York City, the country’s COVID-19 epicenter, 24.7 percent of people tested positive for antibodies. (The statewide number is 14.9 percent.) These rates do translate to many times more cases than officially do ented, to be clear, but they are still a far cry from the 70 percent scientists believe is necessary to reach herd immunity and stop disease transmission. And if only a small fraction of the population can return to work without fear of getting the coronavirus, a return to something resembling normal is still a long way off.

Scientists don’t know exactly how long immunity to COVID-19 will last and what level of antibodies confers immunity. “There are just unknowns for an individual,” Gigi Gronvall, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and a co-author of a recent report on antibody testing, told me. “The ‘get out of jail free’ card we’re hoping for, it’s just not how it should be sold,” she said.

another dummies guide to herd immunity (helped me)

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sci...9-pandemic/amp

herd immunity without a vaccine is basically worst case scenario.

say 70% of population needs to be infected and say with a deathrate of .5%

that would make it likely that we lose 1 million ppl in the process

and thats not taking into account ppl that would die of other related causes like lack of medical care

and also not taking into account that Covid immunity might not even last enough to achieve natural herd immunity

thats complete bull . they are not even doing immunity tests.

the examples of immunity tests in NYC and the “german wuhan” would show that most likely sweden is not even close to herd immunity.

    Lol, no.

But, waiting to treat covid-19 patients until they are hypoxic is like that.
