So Remdesivir only works somewhat on patients that are gravely ill. It doesn't works on just any COVID19 positive person.

Republican-led states signal they could strip workers’ unemployment benefits

if they don’t return to work, sparking fresh safety fears

The message to workers is “endanger your life or starve,”

Iowa, Oklahoma and other states reopening soon amid the coronavirus outbreak are issuing early warnings to their worried workers:

Return to your jobs or risk losing unemployment benefits.

The threats have been loudest among Republican leaders in recent days, Profits over people

Labor activists, however, contend the reality is far more complicated:

Some now-unemployed Americans weren’t making much money in the first place,

so they may not want to risk their safety just to return to underpaid old gigs.

California official calls for reopening so coronavirus can kill off the old and the weak:

‘It would also free up housing’

In the April 23 post, Antioch planning commissioner chair Ken Turnage II said that coronavirus is like a forest fire that burns “old trees, fallen brush and scrub-shrub sucklings” that drain resources, adding that society will “strengthen” when the pandemic “is all settled.”

“We would have significant loss of life,

we would lose many elderly, that would reduce burdens in our defunct Social Security System,

health care cost (once the wave subsided),

make jobs available for others and

it would also free up housing in which we are in dire need of,” Turnage wrote in the post that has since been deleted.

“We would lose a large portion of the people with immune and other health complications.

I know it would be loved ones as well.

But that would once again reduce our impact on medical, jobs, and housing.”

Their house is red and they'd rather file a frivolous lawsuit than deal with a public health emergency.

Do you think the lawsuit is more important than the public health emergency?

    Yes or no.

"Republican governor uses national guard to protect South Korean medical tests from theft by Republican president."

I'd really like to hear how "states it's your responsibility" and then "oh and we're taking your PPE you procured" to save lives in a pandemic isn't the greatest political scandal in the history of this nation.

If you get COVID will you stand your ground for your rights and skip going to the ER or do you want your rights and put healthcare workers at risk too like a selfish little ?

Ken's business slogan takes on a whole new dimension for his elderly clients.

I "respect" Ken for at least saying what many "reopeners" are feeling. It's so phony when the reopener Libertarian crowd tries to justify it by appealing to increased suicide rates and substance abuse that will happen because of the economic turmoil. We know they don't give a about that. The only thing they give a about are their stock portfolios, business investments, and businesses they own.

    From Michigan:

Yeah, having two tween girls dancing around while wearing Trump and Obama masks is the kind of thing people who "just want to get back to work" would do at a protest. That said, what a surreal scene. Like something out of a Harmony Korine movie.

I was talking to a friend the other day about our current herd immunity strategy and we were hard pressed to come up with a successful historical example that wasn't vaccine driven. Does anybody know of any examples throughout history or what the time frame was for that immunological outcome?
