A nice little thing Chris Ash mentioned yesterday at his virtual coaching clinic. Former Texas QB/WR Miles Unyegbule is back at Texas working as a GA and helping with the cornerbacks.

Also, some speculated that Jeremiah George could have gotten promotion to LB coach after his work leading up to the Bowl game. He's still on staff as a QC guy working with the defense.
    Blast from the past.

Nothing is more detrimental to the individual than death. It not only hurts the deceased but their family. It hurts the employees of the deceased if the deceased is running the biz.
really? you are telling a 26 yr retired army officer that death is detrimental? yeah, ok. When a soldier dies, there are multiple memorial services: close friends, the unit, the garrisoned extended family, the soldier's relatives, on and on.

We cant become a society of cowards because political pinheads want to treat everyone as 5yr olds. Like I said, I'm a prime candidate to die if I get the virus. I got a call from the VA yesterday informing me of this exact thing among others. I know where I'm going when I die... but society HAS to march on.

We are destroying ourselves economically for reasons that can be mitigated. Two doctors in California said a couple of days ago that the fatality percentages in Cali are WAY overblown and it should be around 0.0303 fatality rate (IIRC) if the numbers are reported correctly (meaning a lot more people are infected in CA than are being reported and would push down the fatality rate). I've been in too many countries that have had contagious diseases. I've taken the anthrax sequence 4 times (5 shots each time) and malaria shots more times than I can remember. A few weeks ago, I tried to give blood to help out. The doc said I cannot give blood with the medications I'm on and, additionally, I can never give blood due to the amount of time I have spent in particular countries; regardless if I eventually got sick or not. You dont want to live stupidly, but at some point you have to decide to not be a hermit because you are too scared to live

edited to add: that is the last I will say about this because this is a recruiting thread and this topic can go on forever.

If there was anywhere near enough testing, those doctors might have a point. But there isn't and it's not coming.

All data points are projected sampling. You can never have 100% geez

edited to add: I'm going out in the sunlight to shop, thank those stores that didnt shut down! Even if its to live in the true American & Texan spirit for one day. See you hermits later

I go to the store, and walk a lot and get several hours of sunshine a day. I'm just irritated at the lack of promised testing after all this time. I just don't think there is enough data to make worthwhile projections and what has happened is working to slow it.

DE Jordon Thomas of Port Arthur Memorial talks about his commitment to Texas (24/7):

“Their motto really touched me deep,” Thomas said. “They say state on your chest and family on your back. That really touched me.”

“My grandpa told me if the opportunity is in your face, you might as well take it,” he said. “I shouldn’t wait for a long time and I don’t know what the future is holding for me.”

“One of the big reasons is they said they are going to do some charity work and go to Mecca,” he said. “I’m a Muslim and one of my big priorities is to go there and make my pilgrimage.”

“Everyone started blowing me up,” he said. “They were so excited because they’ve been itching to get me. I’m a good fit for their defense.”

“It’s over,” he said. “Once I commit to a school, I’m loyal to the school. I don’t really want to be a part of another school.”
