Yesterday, there were 39 new cases in SA. 34 of those were Bexar county jail.

    It's definitely slowing down here.

Just wait a week or two for all the new cases after April 30th.

Other than HEB, it looks pretty damn close to normal in most places. My brother's restaurant is already ignoring the 25 percent occupancy, I'm already seeing less people wearing masks, friends of mine are already heading to beaches, others are throwing their hands up in joy and think this is over. , my neighbors across the street had a party a few days ago.

And this doesn't stop other re s from traveling from other dumb red states to infect us.

Are you sure that's not an artifact of undertesting?

Btw, cases in prisons and nursing homes don't stay there.

Mourning in America has to be one of the greatest political ads I have ever seen. Too bad they didn't wait for November though.

When our numbers get high enough you think American doctors will start falling out of windows too?

Who is David Sirota kidding, preventable death has always been an acceptable cost of doing business to owners and investors. It's a measure of our indoctrination to a twisted economic ideology that saying so is politically tenable.

For the government to have a y, inadequate initial response, then subsequently to have no plan and no policy except to shift blame and bull through, is where we are now. US leadership is ok with hundreds of thousands of excess US deaths, merely to have a semblance of a normal economy.

Texas is among the last in testing per capita. Many counties reporting zero cases. Guarantee that is wrong. It will accelerate as "business as usual" picks up.

They'll come up with something even better. These people know what they're doing.

The same people who murked up that McSally and Gardner.

But we're definitely under tyranny here in America because beaches are closed, bars aren't open, and some can't get a haircut.

Doubling rate of positive COVID-19 cases is now at more than 2.5 weeks. When the emergency orders were first issued, the doubling rate was every three days.

    Thats our jail, not prison.
Which is worse because they cycle much more quickly.

    I agree.

    But...

The way they get to the beaches? Do they have jammed packed parking lots with people walking through narrow lanes in the dunes going both ways waiting for each other to get through? I have been through this with big spring break crowds. Its definitely NOT good. Once they can spread out its fine. Im sure beach access is different for different areas but seeing these situations for myself, where the foot traffic bottlenecks, its a mess. And then people meet each other to and from and stop and you are pushing through bodies. Nope...

I am avoiding all crowds. When I see that many people on the beach with zero cars... I think of those bottlenecks.

We aren't testing enough to know how fast is it actually doubling. If you are basing that on confirmed cases, and confirmed cases is limited by testing capacity, then you have next to no idea what the real doubling rate is.

Putin, but I still have much love to the Russian people for saving our asses from Hitler in WWII.
Russia protected itself against Hitler's invasion, had nothing to do with saving USA, but only about saving Russia.

If they draw crowds... it isn't. I do not see why that is a difficult concept.

COULD A CORONAVIRUS VACCINE DESTROY THE ANTI-VAX MOVEMENT?

At least 76 potential vaccines are in development,

with the most advanced research teams saying shots could be ready as soon as September,

far faster than any vaccine has ever been developed before.

But not everybody’s happy about it:

The anti-vaccine movement that’s been growing for the past several years may be facing an existential crisis.

London’s Vaccine Confidence Project recently found that while

33 percent of people in France — known to be the country that distrusts vaccines the most — say they don’t think vaccines are safe,

only 18 percent would refuse a COVID-19 immunization.

It also found that as understanding of the coronavirus grows,

people are more likely to be open to a vaccine.
