One of my customers has windows 95 on a stand alone workstation. I couldn't even move around in it, forgot how to do anything lol

Workstations for certain types of instrumentation cannot be updated without updating other things in the instrument. Many universities are gifted old stuff and they use it. You'd know if you weren't stuck in Walmart.
