California has identified nail salons as a source for many COVID infections. Good job upping the kill count Abbott and Trash.

So Cuban thinks it’s okay to put his secret team and anyone they come into contact with at risk to prove a point on his blog? Why is it okay for him to risk others lives for nonessential shopping? At least grow some balls and do it himself.

Very few. That's why we are eventually going to accept that X amount of boogievirus deaths are the new normal to avoid destroying millions of businesses, jobs, and people's lives.

There will likely be no economic recovery until the virus is done. The economy will start shutting down on its own as people watch their family, friends, and neighbors die from this.

Do you know anyone personally that has it, had it, hospitalized because of it, or died from it? Sincerely, I’m not trying to be adversarial

A couple of friends from Cali I know have tested positive but neither had to be hospitalized. No one I personally know in Texas is/was known positive. I might have had it since I was really sick for a few days in March (almost completely bedridden, couldn't sit up for more than maybe five minutes at a time) with a temperature that would go between 99 and 101 and really nasty gastro symptoms kind of similar to what SnakeBoy said he had, and he ended up testing as having COVID antibodies. I never got tested though since I never got to the point I needed to be hospitalized and testing was extremely scarce in March, so maybe not and in public I act as if I have not had it. But we're also quite early in the pandemic. Even New York City, the place on Earth most ravaged by this virus, only had an estimated 25% infection rate from the antibody testing they did there. LA County was estimated at about a 4% to 5% infection a couple of weeks ago from antibody testing. Considering we'll need to be at 40% to 70% infection rate to stop this virus we're still in for a long and bumpy ride most likely.

Texas Health Officials Undercount COVID-19 Cases by Excluding Some Prisoners Who Tested Positive

The Observer identified at least nine Texas counties where

current prison cases make up more than 10 percent of the total COVID-19 cases in the county.

so, if it is as contagious as they say, I would expect there to be more cases, yet most people I ask don’t know of anyone personally that has actually tested positive. I believe the virus exists and I believe it can make you very sick and possibly kill you if you are compromised, however I have not seen anything personally that supports what is being reported.

I go by Methodist every day and it looks like a ghost town. If the virus is indeed very contagious, I would expect that it has already run its course, and if not, as you suggest, will we ever keep it from ultimately running it’s course?

These are questions none of us can completely answer without depending on others. People with credibility that challenge the severity have been censored. That is disturbing. I’m not saying they are right, but why can’t reasonable suggestions be heard? If you search google or YouTube for anything that suggest this is exaggerated, you get site after site talking about fighting “fake news”. That was not the case 3-5 years ago. People are being censored, and whether anyone agrees with them or not, that is very disturbing in my opinion.

    Have they been tested?

Among 29M Texans, how many have you and your personal anecdote queried?

Who is being censored? I know there is a conspiracy theory going around that it's way more widespread than people think but antibody testing seems to indicate nowhere is anywhere close to even lower bounds for what herd immunity infection rates could be. We do know it has killed 1 1/3 Vietnam War's worth of Americans in about a month and a half. Of course we're not going to keep it from running its course because our government's stance is just let it unlike nations like South Korea that took it seriously from the start. I don't know how you can believe the virus has run its course through Texas. What exactly makes us special vs New York / Detroit / New Orelans / Chicago that we get the virus and nothing happens to almost anybody while it ravages their populations?
