Watching the Trump Cult celebrate that Donald may quite possibly eke out a re-election with a 40% approval rating and the gifts of a good economy and a national disaster is like if Gregg Popovich played Tim Duncan for 5 minutes a game in his prime for 70 games and Spurs fans high fived themselves because the team was still in the Playoff hunt.
Last I checked he was at 49%. Where did you get your numbers?

Five Thirty Eight has him at 43.6% currently based on an average of polls.

But you're too focused on the number vs. the overall point, again. 49% isn't good either. Trump could easily be pulling in 60%+ approval ratings right now without changing actual tangible policy.

Happens all the time. My old man would sputter all his boys' names out while looking directly at who he was speaking to. "Darrell...Jordan...god damnit, Felix I mean. "
So you occasionally call your wife John or Jimmy? I'm not talking about the old man or Grandpa.

LOL, you can be a conservative and not like the POTUS.

I lean heavily towards the conservative side, but I don't agree with much of what the POTUS has done and openly admit the things that drew me in to him turned out to not be. Period.

    This was extremely powerful:

Specifically, Wilkerson began to wonder about Sen. Graham in relation to Donald Trump’s continuous attacks on then Sen. John McCain: “What is the character of a man who will not defend his best friend? If he won’t defend John McCain, why would I expect him to defend any of us in South Carolina?”
It's sad for our country but it's actually sad for Lindsey on a personal level. Some of these politicians are literally addicted to whatever sense of importance they feel from occupying their office that the office literally becomes their life and they feel they can't live without it. What else explains what Lindsey has become??? He used to actually be somewhat reasonable from time to time but Trump has taken away his dignity.

For some seniors, virus is shifting their views of Trump

President Trump’s approval rating has fallen among older Americans, many of whom feel especially isolated and at risk.

Even a small shift among this bloc of voters could pose a serious threat to the president’s reelection.

after nearly four years of President Trump’s tweets,
    the impeachment scandal, and especially,
what they see as his disastrous handling of the COVID-19 pandemic,

they can’t imagine voting for him again.

Trump’s approval rating among voters over the age of 65 dropped 20 points

between March and the end of April, making seniors more critical of the president’s performance than any other age group aside from 18- to 29-year-olds.

Much of that decline seems directly related to the virus
    ,

which so far has posed a far more serious health threat to older people.

the president’s eagerness to get the economy moving again seems to have put him at odds with many older voters

by a nearly 6-to-1 margin, seniors said the government should prioritize halting the spread of the virus over focusing on the economy.

“The people my age, we have become dispensable,”

several recent national surveys have shown former Vice President Biden leading Mr. Trump among seniors.

    “Trump can’t win without them,”

“If he loses a sizable chunk, or even if Biden can get that margin small, Trump is ruined.”

He says he knows he’s not the only 2016 Trump voter souring on the president.

For him, the final straw was when Mr. Trump called the coronavirus a hoax.

The crisis “has just confirmed how incompetent [President Trump] is –

and how uncaring he is for others,”

    a
Quinnipiac poll taken in late April found him 10 points behind Mr. Biden among voters over 65.

whether the pandemic could have a dampening effect on seniors’ top-notch turnout rates.

many campaign strategists are wondering if some older voters may choose not to vote at all.

they’re planning to canvass for Mr. Biden –

the first time they’ve done anything besides simply vote for a candidate since Barry Goldwater.

No, no, no, dummy. Covfefe was the cryptic message Patriot POTUS was sending to the true Patriots, warning them of what was to come. Deep state warned him, he loves us so much that he was warning us.

After costing Americans $10Bs in tariffs, Trash's hatchet man/capo parachuted DeJoy into USPS to hurt WaPo's owner Lord Bezos of Amazon,

Americans will pay $Bs more for more expensive USPS package delivery

The USPS Is Reviewing Its Amazon Package Delivery Fees Because of Trump

Almost a month after President Donald Trump threatened to
block a $10 billion emergency loan to the U.S. Postal Service

unless it raised shipping prices on companies like Amazon, UPS, and FedEx,

the USPS has decided to review its package delivery contracts,

“If they don’t raise the price I’m not signing anything, so they’ll raise the price

The USPS has always fought back, saying it maintains the prices it does to stay compe ive in the marketplace.

finance chairman of the 2020 Republican National Convention, Louis DeJoy, the new postmaster general

Mnuchin have been trying to attach several caveats to that emergency loan from April, which would

grant the Trump administration financial oversight over package prices and bulk-discount contracts.

It’s one step on a steep slope to the USPS losing its status as an independent agency.

Package shipments account for 5 percent of the USPS’ volume, but 30 percent of its revenue.

    https://gizmodo.com/the-usps-is-reviewing-its-amazon-package-delivery-fees-1843465315?utm_source=gizmodo_newsletter&utm_mediu m=email&utm_campaign=2020-05-15

Capitalists have wanted to destroy/privatize USPS for decades,

because Capitalists' strategy the EVERYTHING must be privatized (owned by Capitalists) for THEIR amassing of eternally more Capital

Major medical journal demands Trump’s removal over abject failures of COVID-19 response

the editors of the esteemed medical journal Lancet called for a new president in 2021 who can competently deal with a major health crisis by letting health care professionals do their jobs.

the editors called out President Donald Trump and some of his top aides for undercutting the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) at a time when the U.S — and the world at large — are being ravaged by the COVID-19 virus.

“The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the flagship agency for the nation’s public health, has seen its role minimized and become an ineffective and nominal adviser in the response to contain the spread of the virus.”

an agency that was once regarded as the gold standard for global disease detection and control,”

etc as the Lancet piles on

    ‘I clearly made a mistake’:

Mitch McConnell admits to Fox News that he misled Trump supporters

On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)

falsely claimed that the Obama administration did not leave the Trump administration “
any kind of game plan” for a pandemic.

McConnell was fact-checked for his false claim by former Obama administration Ebola czar Ron Klain.

    https://www.rawstory.com/2020/05/i-c...8460&list_id=1

Even if Obama would have left Trash nothing,

what has Trash been doing for 3 years to prepare for the inevitable pandemic?

DESTROYING whatever the USA had in pandemic preparation.

Trump’s re-election prospects dim as the coronavirus spreads through the Rust Belt

he proclaimed, “The fourth quarter is going to do very well. And next year is going to be through the roof,”

but Poltico reports that the public is not buying it.

The virus has moved from urban centers like Detroit and Chicago

into suburbs and more sparsely populated counties,

a trend seen from western Pennsylvania to Minnesota and Iowa. In Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania—

    Democrats’ so-called “Blue Wall”—

    19 counties report
coronavirus cases doubling in less than 14 days.

Trump won all but one of those counties, by an average of 65 percent,”

“The region has been devastated by job losses amid pandemic-induced economic shutdowns,

in some cases far outpacing the national average in terms of the proportion of their workforces that have applied for unemployment benefits since mid-March,”

In Michigan, more than 3 in 10 workers have sought aid in the past two months, according to a POLITICO analysis of Labor Department data.

Layoffs and furloughs are also piling up in Pennsylvania, where more than one-fourth of the workforce — or 29.6 percent — has filed an unemployment claim.”

the problems Trump was supposed to fix after he was elected in 2016 still remain. no ! Was Trash lying?

the Trump vote was a vote of despair and desperation.

And that despair and desperation remain in 2020,”

“They are very clear about what those missteps are and, frankly, they are angry,”

    https://www.rawstory.com/2020/05/tru...t-belt-report/

So USA has "votes of despair" for Trash, and the same regions have (white people) "deaths of despair", guns, alcohol, drugs.

These people see the "democracy" and Capitalism have both ed them over for 40+ years.

And declining Joe Biden, chosen by the DNC and superdelegates, keeps gaffing
