No one can say with 100% certainty why some have it worse than others. I’ve seen a few pts well into their 80s and 90s best it...I’ve also seen healthy young adults lose their fight against it...the unpredictable nature of this thing is what makes it scary.
It's a crazy disease. Sorry to hear about your colleague. Stay safe.

Detailed analysis of immune response to SARS-CoV-2 bodes well for COVID-19 vaccine

A new study do ents a robust antiviral immune response to SARS-CoV-2 in a group of 20 adults who had recovered from COVID-19.

The findings show that the body's immune system is able to recognize SARS-CoV-2 in many ways,

dispelling fears that the virus may elude ongoing efforts to create an effective vaccine.

    Heart attacks, heart failure, stroke:

    COVID-19's dangerous cardiovascular complications

ER doctors highlight underappreciated risks, potential drug interactions

much attention has been paid to the pulmonary (breathing) complications of COVID-19, but less has been said about the cardiovascular complications that can lead to death or lasting impairment.

almost a quarter of COVID-19 patients -- 24% -- were suffering acute heart failure when they were first diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Of the patients with heart failure, nearly half were not known to have high blood pressure or cardiovascular disease.

COVID-19, and other diseases that cause severe inflammation throughout the body, increase the risk that fatty plaque built up in the blood vessels will rupture, leading to heart attacks and stroke.

its adverse impact extends beyond the respiratory system,"

Blood clotting abnormalities reveal COVID-19 patients at risk for thrombotic events

they found critically ill patients infected with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) who were

    at high risk for developing

    renal failure,

    venous blood clots, and other

    complications associated with blood clots,

    such as stroke.

COVID-19-infected patients are highly predisposed to developing blood clots, linked blood clotting measurements with actual patient outcomes.

in patients with COVID-19 the clotting appears to be particularly severe and --

as evidenced by case studies in China and elsewhere --

clots in COVID-19 patients do not appear to dissipate,

A handjob. I thought it was common knowledge.

Usage would be like "Your wife gave Sancho an L1."

L1 is an exclusive term to escort and shady massage joints, you'd never describe it as something your wife did to you.

They can, but the risk of death with no underlying health issues is slim to none. Even in "old"

I’ve been “sheltering in place” longer than most of you here since I’m in CA. I’ve abided by the rules for the most part. Only gatherings I’ve had have been my parents and my brothers family for over 2 months. At the golf course today ran into the guy who did all the granite in my kitchen remodel and shook his hand. It was strange having not done anything like that in so long. Cool story bro I know.

Drug promoted by Trump as coronavirus ‘game changer’ increasingly linked to deaths

“What the do you have to lose?”

Growing evidence shows that, for many, the answer is their lives.

the danger of the Trump-backed drug is a significantly increased risk of death for certain patients.

Evidence showing the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in treating covid-19 has been scant.

Several have called for the FDA to revoke its emergency use authorization, given hydroxychloroquine’s do ented risks.

“They should say, ‘We know there are harms, and until we know the benefits, let’s hold off,’ ”

“I’m surprised it hasn’t been revoked yet,”

No, you seem pretty familiar with purchasing an L1. I don't buy it.
