    True. Although the measures somehow became political, it looks like enough people are doing it to prevent a worse increase. It's just nuts that Abbott has to beg us to wear masks at this point in the Balous Miller comeback. It's a ing piece of cloth holes like Slovakia and Vietnam used to help beat this .

    Tbh, I don't think anyone's beaten it. Maybe just got to a more manageable place, but I don't think Covid is done with anyone yet. Not until that 70% is infected at least.

    Sad that the US of A is worse off than everyone else excluding Brazil.

    True, "beating" it is temporary until a vaccine or the heard immunity you mentioned but I'd much rather be pouring water on embers than roasting marshmallows on a wildfire.

    There's no real proof that C19 infection (esp non-severe infection with fewer antibodies) + "recovery" provides (reliable) immunity

    Other coronavirus infections provide no or little immunity, and such immunity appears to be short-lived, 12 or fewer months.

    With less than 1% of Americans infected, there 300M available targets.
