- this guy was an armed robbery suspect, not a dunk guy asleep in his car
- he was believed to be armed (armed robbery) so police were reasonable to act as though he did, unlike wendys guy who they had searched
- he's clearly reaching for his pocket as he is running, and he actually did get a gun out

these numbers people throw about specifically refer to medicare, not all patients. usually medicare caps payments to 5k for diagnosis related costs, with covid due to the federal relief bill medicare will now pay up to 13k for diagnosis related charges (not 15k).
while its true that medicare will pay up to 39k for those put on ventilators, i dont know if i've actually seen anything that indicates that this is separate for covid and non-covid cases, but i'm open to reading about that

i do realize that. i'm saying the cops knew he was unarmed. yeah he punched a crop and grabbed a spent taser (cop even yelled that he grabbed his taser, not a gun), and then was shot in the back while not posing any immediate threat to the officers or anybody around them.
i dont think they should be charged with murder tbh, but it was definitely excessive force and should have resulted in discipline/termination

The reason that they will get off is because in Georgia a taser is considered a lethal weapon, it was spent but it could still be used to contact stun, and still classified as a lethal weapon. Do i think the officer though that when he shot him, no? but that will be what they argue when these guys get off and atlanta burns again.
