get a workout routine started, lift heavy with little reps (say 3x8 then go to 4x6)
eat a ton of food, and i mean a ton
oatmeal
eggs
meats
nuts
etc.
good, clean, non processed foods are best.

bumping 12 year old threads
Do your in ab crutches
I just skip meals instead tbh.
177 pounds
6 feet
Took about 4 years but I finally have the resemblance of a 6-pack. I am back to the weight of 15 years ago. Feels good. I feel great and look a decade younger than I really am.
Sidenote they just reopened my gym yesterday.
Biking.
Big lap swimming at NISD nad is gone and its really hurts for leg recovery and shoulder stuff.
Running is out for me now. Its counter productive with this climate.
A little Yoga from a very good teacher is super helpful.
Im not going to go in a gym. I like outside stuff way too much.
How you holding up buddy? I have been back to the gym a couple times. Take big precautions outside. But inside I just treat it as usual. Rotate between equipment. I don't like to sit. Today I ran to the gym and then walked to the bar. Wiped down and then changed shirts.
Quarantine update: back up to 138 pounds from 132 on August 4th, due to the last week of prescribed prednisone.
Gym still closed. Been about 5+ months.
Massive parking lot turning into homeless shelter. I see other gyms set up our door work out stations. I'm nearing the end of my patience with LA Fitness.
If California stays "open" as the past week and they do not then I will seek to get out of my agreement.
LA Fitness reopened
I'm 170 bad ass. Six pack abbs first time since high school.
Rare people that lost weight during Covid. I went down 25+ lbs. Gain back with weights but never going back to American fat. Never.

SD POLSKA
I'm one of the rare Americans that's never been fat a day in my life. I'll probably be 5'8.5" and 130-140 for the next 120-125 years
also, just turned 27 on Sunday
I'm back at the gym. Bout to be cut beast. Under 175. Run everyday.
Been doing dumbbell Chest, seated back rows, shoulder press, shrugs, bench press, back extensions, face rope, and pull ups
30 mins. 3 sets. 10 reps.
wtf....
Get outside and get on a bike and run.
Do free weights in you garage or something.
Swimming is the only thing I do indoors and its in a huge complex made for swimming.
I will be going back to open swims as long as my favorite reservoir stays clean.
I dont see the need to exercise inside except during horrible weather. I have friends in Colorado who have running and biking stuff for cold weather. The swimming, you really need to find a BIG indoor pool.
Btw I have stopped running on pavement and have gone to tracks, grass and trails. Treadmills are just awful as they really dont make you balance like you need to do, that happens outside.
One thing I should probably get into is climbing, but I would need help learning the right technique and equipment; I have no friends who are in to this.
Aiming to gain 10lbs and stay under 13%, spent a good year maintaining and getting my cardio up tbh
Haha. I do brother
Run everyday. Stretch and bike in the morning for 15 minutes then hit the road.
I am in my mid 30s and look 20s. I think it is Cardio. Love it live it

As I get older and no longer have the explosion strength, I get more and more into cardio.
Basketball lets you know you cant do it any longer. Basketball requires so much athleticism it just hits you in the face and says you cant do this anymore, you suck now.
Agree on exercise. Its a huge part of my life. We go hiking and kayaking so much I need to start the climbing though. I know I can do it as I did it all the time as a kid. Just got to get my hand strength back and get some more flexibility working. I cant wait for things to open up more and get back to Canada and the lakes and hiking/kayaking.
I gotta tell you be careful with the road. Change your shoes out. And try not to run straightforward all the time. I would get into to some side to side stuff leg crossevers etc... maybe before and after as warmup cooldown. That straightforward long running on roads will eventually get you unless you mix it up. My father was a really good distance runner. His knees are not good now. The shoe technology is better but not that much.
5'8" 136 after Mexican dinner tonight
no squats or deadlifts?
might wanna balance your routine out a bit better
5 weeks til Europa. I'm gonna run and lift chest/back. I have under 10 lifts remaining. Working man.
Runs meaning hills and trails everyday. I'm wearing shorts in Polska Summer.
