    So essentially

Kawhi and minus two years of Danny Green for Keldon, Poetl, McGee, and Caruso
blame pop, we could have ingram, randle, hart and a 1st pick...

Literally noone is talking about Poeltl getting a Big contract, just a decent one, which probably wont happen cause of corona. But your comment about his play yesterday were just wrong. Give him "slack"? What for? He played well. Those are the comments, that get you critized.
Ive given him slack because ive seen him play better than yesterday. My words were that he wasnt a game changer, not that he didnt play well, which I agree that he played well. This conversation is going to go nowhere as you wont let go any negative remarks made against Poetl. I have been a Poetl supporter, you can check my post history.

There was never any credible evidence that deal was available. Neither LA team was offering much as they thought they could get him as a FA. The best offer with evidence was the two clippers picks,

I think with the leak that the salary cap will be flat and not drop, DDR is gone. I think he is only in Orlando to get the rest of his salary. He has 7 days after the end of the Spurs season to exercise his opt out, and I expect him to.
I disagree; he's not going to opt out of the next year of his contract. Even without a salary cap drop, he can't expect to get a contract that's even close to the same per year number - to many teams see him as a non-winning player. Even if they don't let the cap drop happen, it will still be a down market, and he will still be better off waiting until next year, in the hopes of an economic resurgence before looking for a new contract as a luxury player...

People have been wanting size for the last several years but it seems year after year we get shorter I think the last straw was Forbes starting at SG. WTF.

Agree, we definitely need to do some trades but only if we have a clear plan on how we going to tank. Make no mistake the only way we getting good enough to legitimately compete against really good teams is if we can get a top 5 pick who actually pans out.

To be honest I would love to trade LMA and DEROZZ and just roll with the young kids for a year. Kill two birds in one year because yeah will loose a load of games which is good to get a top 5 and the second is will really find out who we need to keep or who we can or should trade. Also looking at all the wholes we have PF/SF/C will probably need to tank two years straight.
It's what they SHOULD have done when Kawhi was shipped out, but they wanted to compete. Can't totally fault them for that, but we can when it comes to what they settled on. Any casual could tell you that a trio of DDR, LMA, and Gay was a Loser's Club that would end up going nowhere, but PATFO thought it would be enough.

The Org deserves years of mediocrity for that, tbh.

there were plenty of rumors that lakers offered ingram randle hart and a pick or ingram ball hart and a pick. The problem was that pop didnt want to trade him to lakers and he requested too much. Even magic said that they proposed a lot of deals but spurs wanted too much (young players + 4picks!!).Quoting magic it was sth like " they wanted 2000 picks".

I'm pretty sure no such offer was made. Randle, Hart and a first rounder perhaps. But my understanding was Ingram was off the table.

Don't put much stock in what Magic Johnson said. He was pretty much frozen out by Pelinka.
