I would not want to do it as there are very tough cir stances where things happen quite quickly. It seems if a perp is in site it's best to call for backups and completely surround the perp at distance. Then talk him down. But that takes time. Fear producing execution seems to end up badly for everyone.

Careful which victims are chosen as examples of police violence or over reaction.
Its counter productive for anyone who has actually witnessed multiple police over reactions in situations which could have been easily resolved by leaving pride behind for just a moment.
