Another darkening thought, in addition to Trump getting desperate enough at some point to gently suggest that Biden be removed ("will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?"), the GOP at some point may contemplate drastic measures against Trump to save their own hides.
Smart way for the Republicans to do that would be to have Trump removed and then blame it on the Democrats.
