Even FrostKing's comments reek of lack of personal accountability. The age of accountability seems lost on this generation.
I have no dog in your argument tbh.

Ah, what responsibility have you taken for current conditions of the USA?
Let's see your list.
You put one there.
Not seeing your personal accountability at all.
Let's see it.
I served my country. Did you?
That's not taking personal accountability.
That's your attempt to stifle conversation.
Try again.
Meant to say “I have” the autocorrect on my phone is ed up.
I agree that the difference between boomers and silent generation is indistinguishable, I was mostly laughing at how old Biden was.
I'll take that as a "no".
Civil War generation
So what is your personal accountability?
You never got around to that.
Lose the crutch.
You blamed boomers. I didn't blame anyone. Case closed.
your argument is no one can take any responsibility for anything.
That certainly fits with your steadfast refusal to hold yourself accountable, but completely s on your insistence that others here do so.
Which is it?
No matter the situation or event my parents reaction was always "what did you do".
There is a fine line between being submissive and being a fool.
False narrative again..
Everyone can take responsibility for what they did or did not do that was within their cone of influence. You blamed boomers. I did not blame anyone, that doesn't mean no one is responsible but I feel responsibility for the things within my control that I do or don't do. I won't about how much garbage is on the side of the road on the street where I live and then refuse to participate in the cleanup effort. If I did, that would be lack of accountability.
So what are you actually personally accountable for when it comes to the USA now?
Or what did you not do. Party went all night, didn't have a ride home, had too much to drink.. I did not drive. That's a good decision, at least one of those. You could have left early, you could have refused to drink knowing you had no ride, you had a lot of choices but we aren't going to make good choices always. The big ones matter.
You seem creepily interested in me.
If everyone was personally accountable it would make community accountability a lot easier.
DMC folds
You never meet the standards you set for others.![]()
You don't understand how accountability works if you think I need to run things by you.
Great point. I understand why such "never satisfied" parenting tends to drive teenagers away but in the long run they will be grateful like myself.
My folks always said a wise person learns from the mistakes of others. While others have to learn the lesson themselves. And some keep repeating them.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there's the deflection.
happens every time with you. Can dish it out but you can't take it.
You can tell which kids will heed advice and which will walk into the same trap you walked into because they only learn from their own mistakes. You can also tell which ones you need to have a bigger rainy day fund for because they have more rainy days. You don't tell them you know because you hope you're wrong but you're almost always right. It's just human nature. However those who blame you for their cir stances because you didn't warn them in a way that penetrated their thick skull, they will likely never really take accountability for bad things in their lives.
I'm sure you know someone who blames everyone around them for anything negative that happens but will be the first to take credit for good decisions.
