no, we care plenty what the issues are, but for people that follow politics on a fairly regular basis, none of us are going to learn anything about the candidates during debates. thats geared toward people who dont read up and legitimately don't know what the different candidates think about basic issues.

did i need to be told today that biden wants to repeal trump's tax cuts for the rich? did i need to be told that pence was pro-life?

for me, the debates have more to do with speculating how it's going to impact the race, if at all, not as a vehicle to learn about people i know plenty about. i'm assuming most here are in that same boat. and to that effect, how the candidates come across is pretty important

castro probably would have been better... but biden backed himself into a corner by committing to a woman

and the whole concern about warren's seat was drummed up too much. massachusets legislature could easily have prevented the governor from filling the seat with a republican
