It's not a witch hunt, the ing white House is a known COVID-19 hotspot.
There's a nonzero chance public officials besides Hope Hicks and Trump have been hiding the ball. You're right that the public is not en led to know Mike Pence's or anybody else's medical information, but he does have an ethical responsibility to inform others he works with and comes into contact with on the campaign trail -- including his opponents. It's not only a public health issue, it has moral and ethical dimensions, too,

If your place of employment was infected, would you have a right to know who tested positive?
Does Pence have more of a moral obligation than you or I to share private medical information with those we come into contact with?
If Mike tested positive he should be required to quarantine. This should be issued by those who tested him under CDC guidelines. He does not have an obligation to tell you he tested negative. Anyhow as long as they wear masks they should be fine, right?

I already answered your question, you're just hairsplitting now. Mike Pence has no legal obligation to disclose his COVID-19 status.
if he wants to keep everyone the dark, that's his prerogative. Pence will bear the political consequences for good or for ill.
You seem to be equating the VP with any ordinary citize, I take it you do not believe public servants have heightened ethical obligations to the public.

If he tests positive (you said testing is required) then he should be quarantined. If he isn't quarantined, it should be assumed he did not test positive.
Regardless, wear masks. Problem solved.
