I would take further comfort in the fact AP, Politico, Fox have not backtracked their call. Presumably those outlets are working with more data and better algorithms than pundits like Silver.

Probably when AP and Fox called it. I think these outlets use similar projection methods. CNN, NYT, etc use a different one.
