Being brilliant in one field does not prevent a person from being dumb in another field. Albert Einstein was a dumbass when it came to personal hygiene. He smoked random discarded cigarette butts off the ground, ate bugs off the dirt, and never wore socks. Brilliant man, still dumb about hygiene.

The Catholics are correct. Science has nothing to say about the supernatural that cant be tested. You cant use supernatural explanations in science.
If he believes in God and lives as if he does, how is it dumb? Wouldn't it be dumb if he believed in God and lived as if he didn't, or didn't believe in God but lived as if he did?

You wish to assert a person can be a Christian and not believe God created the universe, destroyed the Earth with a great flood, Jesus rose from the dead and absolved the sins of man to his own Father?

But lets say we could possibly use a mild immunosuppressor to transplant organs cross species to humans.
If big Ben starts transplanting organs, and refuses to use primates as donors for humans and opts instead for reptiles, because he does not think it matters... Then I think we have a huge problem with his background.
