I trained as a doctor in GA and it always had weird elections and politics one was a famous Senator Talmadge (who ran even though he was charged in a crime) and still almost won and only got beat is a huge upset called first for him and reversed in the very early am by Mark Mattingly -
who then only served one term - as he would got likely hammered in next election. It is two worlds a rural conservative region then Atlanta and three smaller cities that are all now more blue.
