The only issue with a Gallo deal is that OKC may have pivoted into renouncing him to complete that Boston deal.

Something is brewing in Washington. We already know about the Westbrook - Wall Rumours, but they are looking for specific pieces. They are for example high on Poeltl. So i would not be surprised, if the Wizards make a big offer.

Of course these are all rumours, so i dont claim that it will happen, only that it can happen.

Wow, they're trying to become an all-international team.

    Bertans
    Rui
    Deni
    Poetl

    Am I missing anybody?

They're going for Ersan Ilyasova too, I bet...

If reports of Hayward walking are true, I wonder how BOS replaces him talent wise? They will still only have the MLE (even if they can get under the cap a little with Hayward off the books) so trade? Do they feel good about their team as is minus Hayward?
They don't have to replace hayward at all. He never played in any meaningful basketball games when he was there. He was always hurt.

All they need is for Blatt, or Messina to coach them.

Their offer can't be that big, they are over the cap quite easily

I think with the Bertans hold, Avdija hold, they're at like $122 million.

That's my one big hang-up with Gallo. If you sign him its guaranteed he gets injured at some point and 50/50 its season ending tbh.

OKC is essentially a transit depot for NBA players on the move now. They won't be an actual team in the conventional sense at all this year. I feel bad for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He can work on himself this season, but otherwise it's a year of his career wasted.

He'll be fine, it'll just be his third year in the league. If Presti doesn't this up OKC will be contending when he comes into his prime.

Who is their coach? I feel bad for that guy too. What a situation to try to navigate.

The most they could do with the mid-level is start at 9.258. That would get them to about 130-132 if they keep Pasecniks or sign Winston to a full deal.

Then they would be hard-capped at 138.928

Then Bertans still wants a raise over his caphold of 14.

Signing Poeltl to an full offer sheet gets very very tight for them

Anyways, some thoughts about Tryn Torbes for the off-season thread

The draft did a number on some of the teams who could have been bidding for him.

Philly getting Curry = Why bother with Forbes?
Memphis getting Bane = Why bother with Forbes?

MAYBE Golden State could be dumb enough to imagine that Forbes could step in for Klay. I doubt it. But it's funny seeing Warriors fans hype him up and say he can shoot and defend.

I've seen some speculation that Detroit could be interested, but they weren't interested in keeping Kennard who's just a bigger better Forbes.

There might not be any takers for Forbes which leads him straight back to the Spurs so Pop can cry tears of joy.

    Can't find any info.

    He had Corona in October

He and the Spurs are not on good terms, seems they never offered him a contract and just annoyed him. Too buys locking up winners like DeMarre Carroll.

He'll have 2 years remaining after this season, and for sure has an NBA buyout, but as one of the best players in Europe he won't play for free.

I would look at Aaron Gordon. The magic rookie last year, who had done his ACL prior to the draft, plays the same position as Aaron. With Isaac out for the season, Magic might be keen to offload Aaron to secure the back for the future. That would mean White and Gay. Or Murray and Lyles.
