Rondo to ATL... does that mean Reddish, Hunter, Huerter now available?
Why would Rondo have anything to do with that?

They have Dunn as well. Was thinking of a crowded back court. And the rumour of Bog to ATL still persists.

6 years? Disagree, the FO was doing a pretty good job until they ed up promising Gasol too much in 2017 when he opted out for the chance to sign CP3. RC should have offered him the $16 million he was due and another $16 million the next year with say only $7 million guaranteed in the case CP3 turns the Spurs down. That would have still been plenty of incentive for Gasol to opt out for the shot at CP3. So promising him 3 years, $48 million was complete lunacy. ...
I'm pretty sure they promised him... But I think you're underestimating what he commanded in that negotiation. Consider what happens if CP3 is signed. SAS has only the MLE left to resign Gasol, and he just left (IIRC) $16 million behind by opting out. So they promised him a contract worth the entire MLE ~ $37 Million - that makes it reasonable for him to opt out (vs collecting the $16M and looking for a contract the year after - where he could easily expect a minimum of $15m for 3 years). Then when the CP3 deal came apart, they offered him $48/3, but only $37M guaranteed... which is what they had promised him. Which was pretty much giving him the money ASAP so as to get out of their end of the deal as quickly as possible (without going lux tax of course).

People can believe what they want. Quit being a damn sniffer, you’re probably the worst one on the site because you refuse to let people have their own non homer opinions without stepping on your high horse.
News flash.....your opinion is yours and mine belongs to me. A debate/conversation should be rooted in fact. If we are judging our front office so harshly for a few mis steps , why give them other bull orgs a pass??? I’ll answer it for you ( your opinion/our opinion) you like to & complain when uncomfortable You can pull up your panties.....

I can't blame them too much for the Leonard trade since as much as I would have loved to tell that got to just go sit out the season again and let him walk for nothing vs taking Toronto's crap back, they weren't going to do that and look spiteful to the rest of the league. I'm pissed they're not willing to dump Aldridge and DeRozan right now though. Makes no sense to keep either.

Still, they're pretty freaking solid in the draft. Kyle Anderson at 30. Murray and White at 29. Walker looks like he might develop into a starter at 18. Keldon Johnson looks not too bad for 29. Samancic at 19 who knows, too early to make a call. Milutinov at 26 was a waste, but otherwise their recent history in draft picks looks pretty good. Hardly a front office IMO.
    He doesn’t like facts.......don’t bother!

These are the kind of deals that make me nervous as a Spurs fan.
Say we have moderate success relative to expectations, Spurs end up resigning vets to
    1 year deals next off-season...
We are not the Denver Nuggets, we don’t have two top 10 by position players, we are not contenders in the west - Big difference but I’m not sure some in the FO see it that way
Hmmm... So Boston is still in the market as a buyer then...

Craig isn't that good and he's going to be 30 this season but he would at least add some SF depth which we sorely need

Why do we want Craig? He's a SG who shot 32.5% from 3 for the last 2 years...

Why would you want a player who can’t shoot, can’t create, game’s predicated on athleticism which is eroding quickly, has a worse contract...?
The list goes on. Aldridge is the odd man out based on Jakob signing and current roster construction. He goes first

westbrook can get to the rim.

tucker is the 3&d we've all been wanting.

    gordon will spread the floor.

spurs with those three players are better than the spurs assembled today.

After they sign the rookies and possibly extend White, Spurs are more than likely done. No gaping hole (still lacking 3/4 types, but plenty of 2/3's to play nominal SF) and close to the tax.
