Dejounte just had a triple double. His defense was bad at times but he's growing into a leader. A- to B+
DDR -- A+ though he had a few really bad defensive rotations. Great game. Carried the team.
Mills -- We lose bad without his precise shooting. And he had a couple of big defensive plays. A to A-
Keldon -- Great energy and aggression should get a B every night to start even if you had some bone headed plays.
LMA -- if that's an F game, we watched different games. 6-14 including a hard nosed offensive board or two plus the game winner. 12/6/5/1. C-
    Vassell -- ok
    Poeltl -- ok
    Lyles -- B
    Lonnie -- B- to C+
Murray's defense was way too ty to warrant an A.

And Dejounte's right about LMA's F grade. His defense was horrible tonight, among the worst of his career.

You can't give LMA an F. He came up with the game winning play.

    My observations:

    - With NO on the road of a b2b, will be interesting to see how many minutes the main guys play.
We don’t have natural matchups for Zion or Ingram and could see the game potentially getting out of hand early.

    - For a 2 game sample size, DDR has been a top 10 player. He has had great stretches before but this is the most complete version I’ve seen.

    - KJ, DJ and Vassell all contributed to the win in different ways without having to put the ball in the hoop. Great to see and can’t be understated for a winning culture.

    - Patty Mills was terrific for the first 3 quarters. Great start to the season for him. His shooting was timely and his shot selection was better than usual.

We need a good-sized, defensive power forward who can hit a 3 and a running, rim-protecting big in order to be a compe or.

It's too early to tell, but these two games have been much more entertaining than anything the team gave us last year, outside of the bubble. I just want a good product.

I agree he could play better thus the B- suggestion. If his rating deserves a C then what else do we expect from him to get an A?

    2 or 3 made 3s on average.

Rarely getting beat off the dribble or giving up a wide open 3.

I like Chris Boucher-- I think he has the potential to be a super sub. Great story too-- dropped out of high school to get a job and help support his family, got famous as a Canadian street baller, went to Junior College, then a D2 Community college, transferred to U of Oregon, then G league MVP and DPOY.
Boucher didn't disappoint... 22 pts, 10 rebounds, 7 blocks. A guy to keep an eye on.

No-names and up-and-comers will continue to get their career highs against us because we "help" on defense like 8 yards away from the 3 point line. Just to not stop whoever was attacking the paint anyway lol

I said A- to B+ and noted his defense myself. But ppl, especially Spurs players, ain't dropping triple dubs very often if you haven't noticed.

His defense was slow tonight but Boucher dropped most of his points on Poeltl tonight, not LMA. LA shot almost 50% (6-14). And if you noticed, Pop took both of them out the final sequence of defensive stops tonight. Thus, given his actual toughness and game winning putback, I think he qualifies for a C-. If not for that final rebound/put back sequence I'd give him a D or D+. But my lord, it seems like neither one of you have seen an actual F game. We had about 70 of them last year from one guy.

Yup, I hate it. Much prefer the inside out beautiful game that required skilled big men in the low post.

    Key stat:

The Raptors played 4 guys with 35+ minutes each and one of those four played 43 minutes (Siakam)

The highest minutes played was DeMar with 36 minutes. The rest of the Spurs didnt play for more than 30 minutes each.

I don't know how good this team will be and their defense is a concern but man, they are fun to watch and have a lot of talent. On top of that, they have a great at ude, are supportive of one another and are saying all the right things. I really like what Murray said postgame about needing to be better on both ends and taking attention away from his triple double in favor of the win. You can tell he wants to be a positive leader and knows he has alot to prove this season. Also, can't wait to get White back to see how better they can be.

    What's Nurse ing about?
He was losing it on the sidelines

Apparently he was still mad about the charge on Siakam...as if he didn't completely lower the shoulder. It doesn't matter if your defender isn't set if you just bowl them over.

Truth. Refs didn't cost them that game. They were hammering KJ with no calls.
