I don't really think that he believes this . I think he trolls social media looking for any of this tripe and posts it here so that he can get somebody to respond.
He could like being on but I really think its a control thing for him. He takes on these different personas and dictates how you respond. The personas are so he can distance himself from what he does here. If he planned on you ting on him and you on him then in his mind it is success.
