Why so, though? ST experts said Luka wasn't playing because the Spurs had given up on him - proceeds to play the very next game. Does badly, as expected of a project pick. ST experts on him again... Rinse and repeat for the rest of the season
I don't know who those experts are but he didn't just play badly, he played like he's just picked up a basketball. Keep sniffing, friend.

says the guy who was in another thread 3 hours ago saying "We are playing winning basketball right now"
Hey, we were playing winning basketball before. I'm not entirely sure we just watched the same Spurs team as the one against the Lakers, tbh

because we gave a bored Lakers team a fight for a few quarters.

This might be earliest Pop has ever pulled out the "soft" card...

Usually after he does we go on like a 6 game losing streak to
Has calling the team soft worked in the past five years? In one ear and out the other.

    Keldon and Derrick. Maybe Devin.

The rest of the organization from the tip top to whatever garbage mariachi singer they trot out there for the anthem can ing go.
Yup, even our coaches are trash. We lost all our talented assistants to other teams. Brain drain.

Flopovich is still using the same methods he been using when the big 3 were around. He just doesn't understand that these things ain't working anymore in todays NBA

Puka essentially looked away from his teammates 6 times in a row and was either blocked or bricked each time except for one gifted ft attempt and one make from 3. He was so lost he couldn't even stand on his feet let alone stay in front of anyone.

This is to say nothing of his demeanor on the bench always hanging his head and looking straight up pissed off.

Man, the worst part about game threads has got to be the ST experts coming out the fields to rub their own s. I swear some of y'all just watch the boxscore waiting for the L to drop... At least be man enough to suffer through the game before talking , like my guy Mugen

Honestly the team has tuned out Flopovich since 2017. Back then we were really good though, so everytime we were down, Manu would come out and give the team the spark they needed to turn the game around. Once he was gone, they stopped taking the old man serious

I was actually hoping Puka would show out a bit. Instead he somehow managed to play some of the worst ball I've ever seen. It was like watching an accident. Horrifying but I couldn't look away.

    He hit a 3 tho!
You are using the same mentality Pop uses. We suck but Patty or Rudy hit a late, meaningless 3 so naturally the next game he leans on them more. Luka is officially a bust. I mean what might be his ceiling anyway? Tops he's in the Rodney Hood, Jeff Green or Thad Young. All those guys are a net minus. he'd be lucky to put up those type of stats.

Exactly this. Lakers were bored and gave just enough effort to beat us. If we played better, they had like 2 or 3 more gears to upshift to.

It's actually insane that Keldon was a 29th pick. He would've been a steal at 19th. Playing like a lottery pick right now, tbh.

That may have been the worst Spurs game I recall watching
    Keldon played hard.

It only works when you truly aren’t soft but playing lazy! Unfortunately there are a few players on this roster that are truly soft as but much more are super lazy!

You didn't watch did you? He was absolutely ing terrible.

Wow, a young, inexpercienced, project played poorly during garbage time?! OMG, who could have seen that coming.....
If you aren’t slurping, you aren’t right to the guy.
Again, I'm just not an overly whiny, crybaby, like most of the trolls on ST.

The team is bad to mediocre (when Derrick is aggressive), needs more lottery level talent & held onto too many veterans (who "need" their minutes).

That is the reality of the Spurs and this season. I'm happy Keldon is killing , I'm hopeful DeJounte, Devin and Lonnie can find some consistency and the sooner we get back Derrick the better.

No one hates Puka. He is a scrub. No reason to hate a scrub for being a scrub. We're just pointing out that ST intelligentsia was wrong on this one.

I think the issue is that he "seems" to have the tools to do well but doesn't. I'm really big on watching these "garbage time guys" and what they do with their opportunity. In somewhat of a defense for them i would say that if the head coach is ok with them taking a defeatist at ude then they are not totally at fault for their weak-mindedness. Just remember Manu. That man didn't give a about the score or his age. He just brought some hustle all the time. At ude and effort goes a long way.
