Did you see the vids, the destructions, the crazy guys, many of them having handcuffs to do what you can imagine they wanted to do. And go tell to the capitol officer who died that they weren't in danger, dumbass. but I agree that some cops were surprisingly "friendly" with the rioters, reason why it all could happen in the first time.

resignation should have been denied and then fired him "for cause", stripped of any benefits that could be stripped

More than one video has very clearly audible "kill 'em", and at least one picture had a guy with a ring of zip ties. Proud boys knew exactly why there were there and what they were there to do.
