Which would they hate more, going back to Orlando, or having the season and their paychecks cancelled?
Its kinda too late now, tbh. The season NBAPA and the league agreed to no bubble. They're going to just have to make this work. The bubble worked but it isn't realistic with 30 teams and over 1000 total games being played in Disney over at least 5 months.

No I don't care about the military in this situation you're the one that brought it up. What I'm telling you is that it's completely irrelevant to bring that up like you're making a point. Dudes in the military signed up for that. Comparing the top 1% of all ball players in the world who are all young millionaires to people in the military is dumb as . People in the military also die for their job. Should nba players be willing to die for the nba too?
Again you responded so you cared. if you didn't care you wouldn't have responded. Like I said again my example is all about perspective. These guys having to be in a bubble for six months isn't going to kill them and that's why I used the military example to give perspective.

A big problem for the NBA is the poor vaccine rollout. With people getting vaccinated, the number of cases would gradually decline but at this current rate its going to take months for that to really happen. The NBA is trying to operate during a time when cases are exploding, this was always going to be the likely outcome given the situation.

I responded because it's a forum and that's the point of a forum. Are you 10 or what?

My point was no one cares what the military does in relation to the nba bubble. Me responding to you doesn't change that fact. Need to move oh from the third grade level "haha you so care!" level discourse

That ain't happening. Probably will be waiting until summer before we'll be done with vaccinating all the 65+ and high risk people.
at the current rate of distribution it doesnt seem like we are going to be done vaccinating them any time soon tbh...NBA only has like 400 players, immunizing them wouldnt be a huge detriment comparatively considering how many doses are dying on the shelves imho

Hopefully with that got Trump the out of power in 8 days we won't see such garbage distribution. Still, no way we're hitting the May forecast of regular people being able to get it with this ridiculous start we have had.

These dumbassess scheduled a 72 game season that starts in december with COVID, Fatigue, etc.

They even scheduled dumbass back to backs.

They should have cur the games to 50ish, spread the games for less exposure and more important reduce travel.

People will still get covid this way, but it significantly reduces the chances of fans watching Luke Kennard score 60 just because theres no players around
It's like they learned nothing. Funny how all of these once beacons of COVID response, like the NBA and some states, sunk so far once they started kowtowing to corporate interests. This was inevitable.

I don't think anybody would notice tbh. Viewership is still down. NBA is going to have a lot of issues coming up. I'm not exactly sure they can fix them.

How could the NFL, with more teams and bigger rosters, go a full season without interruptions, but the NBA needs to stop a couple of weeks in?
    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...askless-videos

^ That's why. Travelling and high number of games has nothing to do with it, imho

My bad. I read the date wrong from the article

Yeah they had a much better Christmas from what I'm seeing. I hope they trend up bc I love basketball, but man is it bad that I'm on the owners side when it comes to the next negotiations?

Ace updated the old thread instead of posting in this one but it looks like maybe no stoppage yet, just a lot of new protocols to keep players from interacting with other people

Vaccine rollout has been steadily improving over the last several days (still a show). Hopefully after Bunker Boy is ousted, we see a significant uptick in how many Americans are getting vaccinated every day.

These new protocols won't do tbh. It's vaccine or bust.

If there's a silver lining to this, it'll lessen the number of games until White is back. When Lonnie went out against the Timberwolves, we literally had no half court shot creation. I think KJ is going to be an all star, but at the moment he's just shoot the open 3 or bulldoze his way to the rim after closeouts.

NBA was just showing plain Greed when they decided to come back and play Basketball in December any idiot could have told them this was going to happen. But Money talks and Bull walks I have no sympathy for them they reap what they sow. It’s just shows you they don’t give a about anyone it has always been about the money see “China” the crappy things is that they will probably get two new teams added to help them financially which is going to make the league play even worse.
