Never categorized it as a Center or not. I was talking about height. 6'5 compared to 5'10 is the comparison I said.
If he is an offensive lineman then you know he has some agility. Also listed at 6’ 4”, can be a difference in dunking. I think the point was and its nice to know he has agility. (Hand size is also super important in ability to dunk. People who first learn how to dunk use one hand with the ball thrown up for them timed for their run to the basket. )

There are lots of O lineman in the NFL that can’t dunk, but they know how to play the oline. Agility probably aides in overcoming a lack of technique to begin with. If you have both... a take. Also he definitely looks like he can add mass.
This is a football thread. We also had film of an D lineman running a 6 minute mile. Small people in good shape can’t do this, especially if they have muscle mass to carry around. So it may mean the dude can get gassed an recover quickly in a football game. We all look for athletes with special qualities that might fit in to football. they give prospective QBs. “IQ” tests. It might be better to give them a 3-d moving parts test with quick reactions...

Evaluation is a tough business. Someone like Poona Ford illustrates this. I personally think he has the ability to recover quickly from shedding physical entanglement. Dude would run after everything and do a bunch of cleaning up for us. Now it looks like he has added to this gift.

This is why if we get a guy to replace Carrington it would be nice if he had a good record of evaluation. Seeing a 2* as a starter type stuff and having it happen.

    New recruiting rules...

D1 staffs can call juniors starting Monday and other recruiting changes

Most immediately, Division I football staffs can begin calling high school juniors or their family members beginning Feb. 1, which is this coming Monday.

In another major change, just as the 2020-21 season doesn’t count toward a players’ eligibility, neither does it count on graduate assistants’ eligibility clock. Provided they are in good academic standing, GAs are permitted to return for a fourth season. Because everyone wants to spend more time living that GA life

Not doubting the young man... good write up, btw.

Maybe juvenile comment but was really just trying to be funny. Not saying the guy can play tackle or football. Hopefully he can, hopefully he wants to play at Texas. I was comparing the 2. Poona (granted with some extra long arms) dunking in comparison to this one just was better. Showed more explosiveness. But, you don't have to be too explosive in football, most plays last about 4-8 secs.

    A new PWO from Westlake
    Flipped from Yale
Was a good player for them and helped them win state. Has decent speed with can turn a corner. He took a bunch of short passes to the house. But I do not know if he can dunk

CB Ishmael Ibraheem will also sign, but Del Conte and Hartzell still have to give the OK, which has not been announced yet

True. But the ability to recover from those 4-8 seconds is huge. If I were going to pick guys with the superior stamina it would probably be DBs who often have to sprint most of that time then a quick return to position and do it again. Its sometimes funny to watch kids hold up the 4 fingers for the 4th quarter and you know some of them have no legs left.

You also have every right to doubt.
This is like a Kentucky Derby field. You start off with hundreds of thousands of 2 yo horses running across the world and then 18 make it to the big day as a 3 yo and possibly beyond? Its a frkn mess. You never know, horses come out of nowhere without "superior" breeding who show very little to begin with. The cast offs are not talked about, only the ones that made it. Heck it starts before that. Horses are bought in auctions very young and some of them never even run a race. This would be like giving a scholarship to a 6th grader.

We flipped a kid from Yale? He must have hopes of being drafted one day.
Im saying he can dunk without the ball in hand headed toward the hoop. Im thinking per usual... The one handed dunk on a nice set up volleyball type situation where you just have to stuff the ball in.

Suchomel’s saying that the visit already happened earlier in the week. He has also heard from multiple people that Texas is in a really good spot.
