I think White is looking to pass a lot which in theory is good but it seems Golden State is playing him to pass. When he drives to the hoop he has to drive to score and if he finds a guy open with a better shot pass. Dude is just a natural passer. His jumper is off as in the 1st half though. Lol

he has to stay aggressive and not second guess shooting in the 2nd half

Yeah, I mean, I guess not all of them. Those are shots you live with. Like you said, Steph's got one of the strongest gravity in the game. I'll live with Oubre taking those shots and guarding Steph tight than Steph having all the space in the world with his insane cross overs.

It’s hard to check that guy!! LMAO

I feel like if he bears you then you tried your best but you can’t give up open looks to his teammates. It’s easier to beat a team of only one player has it going as opposed to many of their players.

steph can beat teams damn near by his self though. SMH.

Yes missing wide open 3's seems to affect his play. Time to play aggressive!

if you look at the shots he is taking when driving toward the hoop he is hesitant to take open looks due to him looking to pass.

now those open three point misses are just bad. Almost half his 7 misses are three pointers. With 3 misses from deep.

Remember that bull where LMA would continuously let Wiseman dunk over him from behind because LMA would keep overhelping??? Hate. It.
Bruh, how could I forget? First and only game of the season I watched with my GF, who randomly wanted to catch a game of "los perros" with me - only to have the Spurs completely the bed and have arguably their most embarrassing loss of the season. Bull game from start to finish, and that weak/nonexistent LMA defense on Wiseman was straight up bench-worthy. Pathetic.

Glad we're putting up a good fight in this rematch... But I'm not watching any more games with my girl for a good while, that's for damn sure

The sad thing is he plays with his head down after each missed shot. We have "0% confidence White" right now. When he's back at 100%, he'll be an impact player. He's got to have that "shooters shoot" mentality.

Agree about Poetl's defense but don't knock Wiseman, bro. He's just good and he's going to be even better. We just missed out on him due to bad luck. Also, this game still shows why we need LMA because otherwise, we get more minutes from that G-League piece of Eubanks.
Of course, not bringing down Wiseman at all, God knows I'd be loving him on the Spurs right now with the way he's been playing. But that game, he got something like 4 literal freebie dunks off LMA not boxing out nor defending whatsoever. That's what I'm talking about, even Drewbanks could make those easy dunks if given the same situation, it wasn't really something reliant on Wiseman's skills/game. Which is what made it so embarrassing..... We got plain ed that game.

Really liking the way we're playing right now. Incredible that it took being down two starters for the Spurs to play somewhat consistent defense

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like when Murray has a ty game, he's the worst player in Spurs history and everyone comes out to wanna bench his ass but when White has a ty game, everyone makes every excuse in the world despite being an older player. Not fair, tbh.

    Exactly!!

he has to stay aggressive on offense. He is better when he is looking to attack on offense because he is a good play maker. But when he is passive or trying to over pass it’s usually not as good.

people complain about Lonnie being mentally soft and not aggressive enough, but I feel like White has the same problem

You're right, bro. Eubanks is so horrible, I think I'd rather see Lyles get his minutes but that's pick your poison smh.

And both of them has shown us what they can do when they're confident. The difference is, White plays like a badass 2-way player when he is confident and Lonnie plays like a 1-dimensional one. When Lonnie works on his defense, he'll be up to White's level.

I know that, I'm just saying it's mental with both of them. I still have confidence they will be able to put it together

He does and he demonstrated that in the Nuggets playoff series. His potential is there but he shouldn't be designated as the best player on this team.
