What's so absurd about keeping 1-2 weeks worth of water/nonperishable food for situations like this? Would much rather have it handy as opposed to having to worry about food outages, everyone panic buying, rushing from store to store, absurd lines, etc. I don't get why so many scoff at "prepping"...how is it any different than making sure you have a flashlight and plenty of batteries?
