Patty was ing awful tonight. Shot clock violation, terrible passes, double dribble and ty defense.
Patty throughout the game was making mistakes. his quick 7point towards the end almost pulled it out but his turnovers were costly all game.

Tough loss tbh.. spurs were in it.

Man, that was awful. Mills is pretty good in the clutch when not involved in the initial action - spotting up, catch and one dribble on a closeout, curling off screens on the weakside; but putting the ball in his hands to set up the action, absolutely indefensible decision.

Poetl was a bit zealous on defending the inbound, but he did recover. Mills was never going to deter Horford anyway if he chose to attack the rim so it was pointless help.

Pops fault or poor execution? We truly have some dumb ass dudes in here!! Every basketball head know pop is the goat and has some of the best end game plays, yet some of you keep up the shenanigans He makes mistakes because he too is human........ Go figure
lol the GOAT who got outcoached by a rookie coach straight out of college while having the most stacked roster in Spurs history lol

Murray had 27 tonight and the old man had him inbounding the ball and being used as a decoy

Pop's a ing re when it comes to out of bounds plays. The Spurs haven't been worth a damn coming out of a timeout since coach Manu retired tbh.
Hey Sparky, he actually trusted Dejounte to get it in to the best clutch shooter we have........ seems ok to me!

This felt like a preseason game for the Spurs with Pop experimenting with lineups. I dont think this game indicates how had we will do for the rest of the games with half the roster being out. Ill give it by game 3 or 4 to determine how good or bad we truly are with this rotation. Obviously likely to be bad more than good because who the can win without four impactful players off their team?
You're also not gonna win playing 2 out of Eubanks/Aldridge/Jakob at the same time in today's NBA. I don't care how many games you give them.

I'd rather have garbage ass Lyles or preferably KBD in there than that two big lineup tbh.

He's been bad in out of bounds plays even before Manu retired, tbh. Just look at him taking TD out in Game 6. He overthinks in that situation and gets too ing cute.

Pop is the worst coach in the league when it comes to out of bounds plays. They almost always result into a turnover or a bad shot at the end of the shot clock
Shame because he used to be elite coming out of the timeout. You'd have to be a blind ing homer to not see the decline of Poopavich.

I will probably be going against the grain here but this loss is on Dejounte tonight. Our starting pg taking the most shots and not making his teammates better. Individually his performance was pretty impressive but he completely ignored everyone except Lonnie.

Mills was the only reason it was even a ball game. Even still, don't expect back to back plays like this for a vet. First, not even getting a shot and then leaving his man for an open game-winner. In hindsight, that's probably the right play (time runs out or the guy mishandles the pass).

He's supposed to try and get Trey Lyles involved when he's getting clean looks all night? F outta here. He's the only reason the Spurs didn't lose by 20+

Definitely against the grain. No one else can reliably score on this team even if you give it to them. Would have lost by 30 without his aggressiveness.

I always say look at the coaches voting from last season. Look up any category besides „best head coach“. Categories like out of bounds plays, in game adjustments, etc, etc. Pop is nowhere to be found in the top 5

You're a ing moron with your tongue up Pop's asshole
Sure, because your the expert with NBA les & a HOF career.

Pop takes dumps with more basketball knowledge than the crybabies and trolls of ST.

Also, the loss was on Patty for turning the ball over, Poeltl for inexplicable gambling for a steal and Patty over helping (although Horford would've been uncontested).

Team should have won and it'll likely cost them in the standings, but their extremely shorthanded and playing with a lot of inexperienced guys/lineups.

Here's the last play to see how Dort gets wide open:

    1) as someone pointed out Poetle goes for the deflection on the inbound pass leaving Horford with an open lane to the hoop
    2) Mills has to leave Dort to help on Horford

Definitely put that on Poetle.... Mills had no choice but to help-defend.

Ooh, this is a y take. I agree, I said it elsewhere in the thread, I don't like how Murray gets tunnel vision and starts calling possession after possession for himself once he gets going... Like yeah, it's wonderful that you're making these shots, and I'm definitely expecting him to keep improving and learning from these experiences - but going for a midrange shot for yourself every time, as the starting PG, is only bound to freeze out your own teammates, and have them out of the flow of the offense once you inevitably start missing those shots.

I wouldn't say tonight's loss is entirely, or primarily, on Murray, but he's got to do a better job at being a floor general. And Patty's got to do a better job at just being a spot-up shooter, tbh...

Cause the wizard and next anointed "best coach" Brad Stevens is really killing it in Boston, right now.

When the old guy is gone and an actually incompetent coach (like Bob Hill) is around, maybe then y'all will give the old guy props.
