Letting them go for nothing if there were legit offers for assets would be a complete waste for a rebuilding team like the Spurs, though.
Good. We learned alot about our team this year. Flashes of playoff caliber but a first round exit is the ceiling. Obviously couldnt get anything for LMA, Gay or Mills that made sense longer term. I bet we work a sign and trade for DDR in the off season where both parties are satisfied. There are few teams who can actually pay DDR outright but many more attractive destinations may be interested. His value is higher if the receiving team eliminates the flight risk via offseason S&T. Another top ten pick coupled with cap space, young talent and a valuable S&T asset like DDR is promising.
forgetting about Derek Fisher
being gay and trans are quite different
Danny back to the Spurs confirmed. He’s getting passed around the league like a hooker now too.
ok expert
That’s odd about Danny green, he seemed like a good fit there lol
dam. the ole "lol ur gay" insult.
i just got roasted
Yeah, and it's the reason it's so weird to me that people say PATFO have "no direction", when they pretty clearly lined up all the vets' deals so they ended in the same year. They gave a shot to the DDR-LMA era Spurs, and we've seen how that works out. Now, whether they trade, buy out, or just let the vets walk, there's bound to be a turning of the page this off-season. We'll see where that goes, but it'll have been as good a transition towards a youth movement as we could've hoped for - the question will be whether that young core can develop into anything meaningful.
Were you really expecting meaningful discussion and terminology regarding gay/trans people on SpursTalk, though? That was the first mistake![]()
At a certain point it’s a joke for OKC
You can’t sign every single one of those picks and the likelihood of getting even nearly equivalent value in a trade for all of those picks is slim unless a huge unforeseen deal for a top 5 type player appears. Even then its a Hail Mary to get it done.
Love LDN but he isn't what he used to be. His contract, however, is very tradeable.
if it wasn't for Covid we'd still start Bryn Forbes at the 2
The wings I hope the spurs would target next season got traded Fournier, Powell and Trent Jr. Signing these guys in free agency got harder.
Also Khem Birch is there for the taking and we need a good backup C.
He’s the only tradeable guy they have left. But the salary doesn’t work for a deal for Lowry. Maybe it’s Aldridge after all (works with Green + Scott). Makes even more sense after adding a guard and moving out Bradley.
Also see Green to Warriors rumors, which makes some sense but also is questionable in terms of who they’d be sending out.
Some they can draft and develop. Then combine with future picks to trade.
Similar to celtics when they got all brooklyn picks. They got irving by picks + isiah. (Even though he left) Got a few promising young player and they're a consistent playoff team. So th y don't really have to sign them all. They can package a combination of the picks and players
So Spurs doing nothing per usual
But enough about your mother.
Some of you fools fall for this every year. Lol
More like pert!! Am I right?!?!? jk![]()
Don't get PHI trying to move Danny?
He would be useful in the playoffs.
They’re not drafting 17+17 guys in the next five years. They’re going to be packaging a lot of those picks together to move up, or to trade for a top flight guy.
The picks are from a lot of teams that figure to be drafting in the 20s, and because they have so many, may be more open to trading. For example, could move the Clippers and Phoenix picks in 2022, to move up a few spots this year if they want. Or package three firsts plus the Horford contract this or next offseason to bring in a top flight guy.
SGA is certainly a keeper, and they have other decent pieces on the roster to help build around.
Daydreaming weird Danny Green rumors

Maybe the Spurs will trade Demarre Carroll, he's still signed for 1 1/2 years
