I've put most of my focus on Ethereum. I feel like the ship has sailed on Bitcoin for me. Ethereum looks like a decent bet with some pretty good upside. But then again, my financial advisor told me it was equivalent to playing the slots.
I've looked at Ethereum projections from just about every site on the web. I couldn't find a single one that didn't have it growing at a fast pace. It seems like a guaranteed profit maker.

I know people in the mining game. Seems like a pain in the ass. I'm still making good money on my old school investments.

    (criminal) HSBC Changes Crypto Policy,

Now Bars Clients From Buying Stock of Companies That Hold Bitcoin

The bank now prohibits customers from buying the stock of public companies that hold bitcoin, like Microstrategy.

All of the companies with bitcoin treasuries could be on the chopping block at HSBC.

    https://news.bitcoin.com/hsbc-crypto...-hold-bitcoin/

    ======================

    HSBC's Money Laundering Scandal

HSBC Holdings' (NYSE:HBC) agreement to pay a $1.9 billion fine to regulators and

enter into a deferred prosecution agreement

points to lack of adequate control processes in
    compliance and anti-money laundering.

Given the bank's size, it appears that it and some of its peers are too big to jail because they are too big to fail.

HSBC is not alone in its indiscretion.

    Standard Chartered (OTC:SCBFF),
    ING (NYSE:ING),
    Credit Suisse (NYSE:CS),
    Royal Bank of Scotland (NYSE:RBS),
    Lloyds Banking Group (NYSE:LYG) and
    Barclays (NYSE:BCS),

over the past several years, have had to stump up fines for facilitating transactions with rogue nations such as Iran, Libya, Sudan and Myanmar in violation of the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) sanctions.

With HSBC, Mexico's involvement entailed providing money-laundering services to various drug cartels,

including bulk movements of cash from the bank's Mexican unit to the U.S., with little or no oversight of the transactions.

It also conducted transactions with Iran, removing references to the country in an effort to conceal them.

    WallStreetBets Reimposes Ban On

    Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum Discussions

    — Guess Why?

Reddit investor forum WallStreetBets, which helped drive the trading frenzy in videogame retailer GameStop Corp.’s (NYSE:GME) stock earlier this year, has reinstated a ban on all cryptocurrency discussion less than 24 hours after allowing a crypto discussion thread with restrictions.

What Happened: The ban was reinstated on Thursday after a story by Bloomberg said that WallStreetBets had bowed to the crypto wave.

    Why It Matters:

WallStreetBets gained attention earlier this year as retailer traders belonging to the forum bid up the stock of videogame retailer GameStopand other heavily shorted stocks such as AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc.

Cryptocurrency as a topic was banned on the Reddit forum for several years as members did not want the focus to deviate from the discussion about publicly traded stocks.

That changed on Wednesday when the moderators of the forum said they
would allow discussions on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE) — but no other cryptocurrency — inside a daily Crypto discussion thread.

The decision came after cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ:
COIN) made its high-flying debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange on Wednesday.

The world’s two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization — Bitcoin and Ethereum — recently hit new all-time highs.

Bitcoin touched a never-before-seen level of $64,863.10 on Wednesday and

Ethereum hit an all-time high on Thursday of $2,547.56.

    Dogecoin hit an
all-time high of $0.2917 late Thursday,

    lifted by the
social media buzz around the meme-centric cryptocurrency.

I bought in at .08 and I only hold 2,409 Doge so I didn't make a big investment. I'll just hold. It dropped to .16 but now it's back up to .23

Big market correction for all crypto yesterday. I just pumped $5,000 into Ethereum and will hold it long term. Buy the dip.

Not a Doge holder, but I'm honestly surprised at it's relative stability. It'll probably hit a dollar sooner or later, but not before plenty of resistance. All it takes is one Elon tweet though.
