Nothing fancy, haven't had KFC in like 6 years, and we drove by one... they're far from the greatest (best ones around here are the bacon jam wings form BJ Brewery, IMO), but they worked out ok.
We have a Wing Stop around the corner, but never been a big fan, tbh... that said, they're probably better than KFC

You ordered the little fried wings with bone in? My mother always liked those. Classic style. They are chill quality. Better than deep frying wings from the store freezer aisle. Which flavor did you get?
KFC has added strips over the last few years which are rather good but no bone. I dunno why KFC doesn't have bomb sauced drumsticks.
Wingstop has some of the best (fast-food) RUB wings. But I know many people aren't fans of that.

They made all their money on booze, and frankly with the pandemic I can see them go under... their food was never special
