amending an article to make a correction upon new information, while noting that a change has been made, is the most ethical action a news publication can take
They're completely altering the meaning of the article / le to try to effectively scrub history.
This isn't a good faith action by any means.

lmao a major newspaper declaring a national story is debunked based on nothing is the same as a tweet getting corrected.
It's amazing just how wrong your Greggy was though. Sefl-pwn.

They never had information for the original article.
"debunked" was poor wording and they should have called it unsubstantiated. good thing they corrected it

I like how people are just assuming the propaganda outlet had the correction message on there from the start. I'm unsure and these outlets have a history of not including any message.

It's safer to assume ol' Greg just lost his and posted his tweet before reading the story.

    Don't you agree?

i see no reason to believe otherwise. many responses to his original tweet also pointed it out. sorry you got duped by a guy who cropped out the correction

They also declared it a "conspiracy theory" even though it was always one of the most likely sources of the virus. This isn't the result of "poor wording choice" but an intentional attempt to manipulate the masses. Thanks for trying to carry their water though.

The logical most likely source of the virus that was debunked can still be proven true. Thanks for the information.

"A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups, often political in motivation,[2][3] when other explanations are more probable.[4][5] The term has a negative connotation, implying that the appeal to a conspiracy is based on prejudice or insufficient evidence"- from Wikipedia

This was always one of the most probable explanations if not the most. Seems they were trying to manipulate the masses based on the negative connotation. The fact that you can't see that or are unwilling to admit that is the problem. You don't have to carry their water.

yep. fits the definition to a tee

im asking by what metric it was the most probable explanation and you just repeat that it was the most probable explanation.

seems like an appeal to intuition. i dont have any specific reason to believe that there wasn't a lab leak. i just dont get the need to be married to the idea before we have the requisite facts

Your back should be hurting after carrying so much water for propaganda outlets. The person willing to execuse a major news outlet "debunking" something based on nothing and then minimize that "debunking" as just "poor word choice" is probably not the best person to converse with.

I never stated it was the definitive source. I'm just not going to treat it like ancient aliens like the mainstream propaganda outlets want.

This is exactly why the left wants voting materials shoved up the ass of everyone without it being requested. They know they control the media, Hollywood, big tech, sports, education, etc and can easily influence low information voters that are unwilling to do the bare minimum to vote.
Is there something wrong with giving people voting materials so they can vote?
