Mavs had choked off a 16 point lead after making the 1st shot of the 4th qtr.
95-91 with 3 minutes left. The Clipps just blew a chance to cut it to 2. Paul George turned it over and now it's Mavs on offense.

As the play develops Morris is guarding Doncic who is outside the top arc. As Doncic drives into the lane, Morris does a good job of staying with of him. Doncic stops in the lane and picks up his dribble.
PG understandably had left Hardaway outside the arc and follows towards Doncic in anticipation of a shot. In effect doubling him from the rear and hoping to block and/or contest Doncics jumper from behind. Doncic steps back to just inside the foul line and you might think he was going to launch a fadeaway. PG moves closer and readies for a would-be contest / block. But crafty ole Doncic does not shoot and passes it out to the side of arc to #10 Finney-Smith.
This is where George majorly F's up.
Finney Smith is then guarded closely by Terrence Mann. Smith does a good job of jostling the ball around and keeping Mann from swiping it. PG at this point needs to either rush all the way over and trap Smith or more appropriately stay the back and keep close to Hardaway. Paul George does neither. He gets caught in between going over to help Mann and staying on Hardaway.
Finney Smith makes the quick pass to Hardaway and PG is a full 6 feet away when Hardaway recieves it. Not a huge opening but enough for Hardaway to crunch and shoot. Nails the trey.
Yes it's an excellent shot by Hardaway but he was given way too much opportunity to plant and launch. I really felt had the Mav's closed it to 2 points the momentum would have continued Clippers.
Since your beef is with Neo tf are you doing this for?
because hes derp
anyways based on our previous conversation, i agree PG wasnt as tight on thj as i thought he initially was, but i felt the closeout was still very good, he was maybe an inch or so from blocking the shot, and thj was shooting from pretty deep. and considering tim had been playing like trash all night, i feel pg helping off of him a tad was understandable and he really should just be credited more with hitting a tough shot, than knocking pg for his defense, it wasnt that bad.
Could you post that over here?
derps really trippin out.
I don't think he missed blocking it by only an inch. But i agree his close was great. But given his up of getting caught in between, just too much ground to close.
I'm gonna stand by my post. He let himself get caught in between.
