NBA World Reacts To Scottie Pippen’s Bombs Comments (msn.com)
In an interview with Dan Patrick on Monday, the former NBA great discussed Toni Kukoc’s game winning shot in a 1994 playoff game against the New York Knicks. Jackson called the play to go to Kukoc, instead of Pippen, and it proved successful. Kukoc hit the shot and the Bulls won the game.
Pouted and refused to go in the game.
Wonder if Phil will respond to this.
Kukoc was was way more clutch than Pippen. I see no problem here, well other than Pippen being a re ed crybaby. First Kukoc took his shots and then pretty much everyone took turns on his wife. Beta got.
Christ-a-mighty, Mult, it's your first cogent post since I retur...I mean since a uva long time ago.
He knows he's in the wrong by the way he handled that play, everyone with a functioning brain knows it too.
Playing the race card he's the ultimate attempt to try and save face and change the narrative in his favor.
He's just stirring up to promote his book, same with that gq interview tbh
I generally like Scottie Pippen but he's always been wrong about this game and play, and he's still wrong. The score was tied, so even if Kukoc misses, they're still going to overtime. It was a smart misdirection play call. Refusing to play was the worst move of Pippen's career, and what people still talk about, when they should be talking about how the Bulls won 55 games that year with Scottie as their best player-- only two wins off of their total the year before with Jordan. Pippen's got a new book and a new whiskey coming out, so his PR people are probably pushing him to stir up as much controversy as possible, which is unfortunate. I much prefer the diplomatic team player Pippen.

Pippen still salty about his own teammate making a buzzer beater almost thirty years later.
Cartwright almost killed him the locker room after that game
Haven't heard anything about that.
Racism is a cottage industry. Pippen wants in.
I mean he wanted to, we all know he grabbed MJ by his neck once, but then he delivered a speech to Scottie on behalf of his teammates and broke down and started crying
Aye.
It's a shame Bulls didn't win it all that year. It all just became another convenient narrative for Jordan jockers.
Jordan or no Jordan they were not beating Houston
Cartwright always viewed MJ as an immature bag but I think he felt Scottie was genuinely a good person. That is why I think he broke down crying in the locker room simply because he was disappointed in Scottie.
Good point
If he did he'd have a few other retired players +1ing him while he's getting on
Probably not.
Mostly everything he says is stupid, or he is contradicting himself from previous statements made.
In this case, it looks like he is attempting to profit off of the BLM wave of race hustling. If that's the case, he should have done it while Trump was still in office. His timing is off some.
Robin wants to be noticed after all these years. He just needs to thank Batman for all the cool hardware and STFU. His comments would have been more relevant in the moment if that's how he felt.
I guess he needs the money.
Batman would have 0 hardware without Robin either
His son died not long ago, so maybe he’s not in a good place right now
That tragedy combined with how he was treated in the Last Dance have probably ed him up
