That is far different from simple failure to pay taxes on fringe benefits, which is how the indictment has been widely misunderstood, thanks in part to Trump’s defense lawyers’ laying the groundwork before the charges were made public on Thursday.
Exactly why I was asking if anybody outside Trump lawyers commented on this. This is, after all, a tried and true way to use the 1st amendment to change the narrative and potentially legally influence a jury.

I wouldn't say wishful, given that the outcome of flipping is quite plausible.
Hard to say what the odds are from outside the bubble. My gut says more likely than not, given they are still investigating.
The general lack of ethics that cascade throughout that organization means that the more they look, they more they will find, despite what delusional diehards like TSA seem to think. This is what my professional gut says.
