The fact that they lost this game with 13 players out for the Heat is nuts. What did the Spurs gain in this game? what did they get to see from their lottery pick putting him in with 6 minutes left in the game. this is bonkers man, its the preseason!!!! I don't get it.

Forbes in the Patty role isn’t that bad. If Pop decides to start him again it’d be unstomachable.
Just really wish Pop would play Primo. Makes zero sense to keep him glued to the bench after a great showing in the first game. Really hope Pop doesn't play dictator again this season.

Yeah he played fine for a good stretch last year and then was benched for a long while. Probably told Pop that Christopher Columbus was a hero.
KJ wasn't very good in the first half but looked really good in the second half. Looks like he added some moves to help him get to the rim. Counted 2 euro-steps and spin move on three different drives to the basket each for made shots.
His 3-point shot is still kinda sketchy, and sort of looks like it has a hitch but he could be really good this season.
Luka was decent, especially late with the hesitation drive and late 3. Still plays like he's unsure of himself.
Probably just shuffling the rotation get make sure different players get enough minutes. He rested Poeltl and started Eubanks, bench McDermott to get Luka minutes.
I’d expect to see him next game. Pop had to give Luka more minutes and outside of garbage time to see what he had. I’d think KBD will get them next.
The Lonnie Forbes combo is just not a good backcourt to have out there. Only one of those two should be out on the floor at one time.
Keldon continues to look good finishing in the lane. is a step slow trying to stay in front of his man on defense.
D. White slows it down a little and look more in control.
Murray was a bit of a hit an miss on offense. He made some nice moves driving into the paint but he wasn't initiating the offense well for the rest of the players on the court.
Vassel I just can't remember anything since most of his minutes were in the first half.
Eubanks hustles and is one of the few players (Lonnie, Forbes) who doesn't just stop and stare at the ball when it is up in the air. He made a pair of nice cuts and reads for a pair of dunks.
Thad made some vet moves and then looked sluggish to playable to sluggish throughout.
Forbes can shoot. Traffic cone everywhere else.
Sandwich was forgetable in the first half and in the closing minutes made a couple nice plays but it wasn't enough to make me think more of him.
Primo, wish he had more time on the court but he get his minutes sooner or later.
That 4 spot is going to continuing problem it is a black hole for this Spurs team.

Ok I watched that play in nba.com. The one failing to block out that offensive board out of a missed FT was Vassell. He’s not a 4 and Pop continuing to play his wings as bigs definitely sets them up for disappointments. Vassell is tall and strong for a wing, but he’s not a big…
Luka wasn’t much better grabbing rebounds or blocking out bigs though.
