imagine if the spurs didnt sign Forbes, maybe Primo or Tre would be getting a couple mins here and there in the rotation
I often wonder what Murray does in the offseason because his 3 point shoot has never been consistent.

I mean bryn has literally 3 points n 3 games lulz
He has literally improved each and every season, what're you smoking? lmao.
But then who would pop get ripped on expensive wine with on road trips?
My pointless thoughts
-back to back 20+ forced TO's is wonderful! If this current team is able to put it together to make a playoff push it will be because of this, defense.
-No quit. This team was on the verge of being blown out several times but kept fighting back until the very very end. With a young team i think this is huge.
-I dont know about anyone else but i am pumped even after back to back losses. This team is exciting to watch due to their hustle, tenacity, swarming and energy. Hopefully it translate to wins but even so i personally enjoy watching them.
-Forbes...cmon man
-Primo needs to replace the F man.
this is a no brainer on who should be getting the minutes...or so you would think.
yup pretty much this. Primo has showed it more than 1 time but man just seeing this in a game that was beyond over, getting 2 points that don't matter, hustling to the basket for a tip in that means nothing and yet does it anyways. dude has fire
Pop needs to clog his memory back 20 years and redo a Primo Frobes swap like he did with Parker Daniels.
Not that Forbes is in the same stratosphere of skill as Antonio Daniels
im definitely not on team tank but i am loving these games even though they end in losses.
My gut reaction is that we didn't have enough penetration and we were just a bit slow to get shots up in general. Too much hesitation and passing up good looks.
I kept thinking "shoot the ing ball". To me, we are too slow and plodding even when one of the defenders is taking his time to get back on defense after we rebound. They have to be quicker and more aggressive. I see timidity and a lack of natural fluidity on the offensive side of the ball. The opposing defense does not have to move enough. We missed some shots but we just flat didn't take some as well and took some late. I saw a lot of standing around and floating along the perimeter, moving the ball to the next guy hoping they try to attack instead. More aggression is needed. They are way too unsure of what to do with the ball, other than they know they want to pass to Jakob and hope he sees something. I assume this will get fixed over time, but right now we are holding teams down the best we can defensively; we have to apply more pressure offensively. Better and quicker decisions. I saw multiple times tonight where a Spur has an angle on his defender or can actually almost turn the corner on him completely but they are so hesitant that the opening closes. Thinking about 3s instead of just putting the shot up, or worse dribbling out of the open 3. Just little clock-burning stuff that Tony would have nipped in the bud a full second and a half earlier. They are thinking too slowly, in my opinion. I don't know anything really or I'd be coaching but this is how things look to me.
We are not making things hard enough on the opposing defense. I'd give Primo some of Forbes minutes and let him put some shots up, make some nifty passes.
Because simmons is far better
The Murray and White backcourt had like two full seasons of data that it doesn't work.
So what is an a better alternative?
No we don't. And right now this back court is working pretty ing well on the defensive end.
2 seasons? The ?
Spurs lost tonight because they weren't the team with Gianni's and because of the 3 point line. I think the shooting will pick up some. These first 6 games are going to be rough. Hope they steal one of the next two.
Tell us more
Without a trade? White benched to reduce time minutes shared, which is a bandage solution.
Spurs were 10-39 from 3. Take away McDermott and they were 3-28! The team doesn't have pure shooters but theyre not going to have many 3-28 nights.
That's the difference in the game tonight.
We don't even have one season with that backcourt.
This is exactly what we should all want. A compe ive/fun team that ends up losing enough games down stretch because it doesn’t have the offensive horses. Figure out who the keepers are, get value for the other guys, and get a key piece in the draft.
It’s one thing to lose 50ish games and be going through the motions. This team is not doing that.
Yeah, I wish Pop would give him the TP treatment and let him do trial by fire. But for whatever reason, that doesn't look to be in the cards, at least for the first couple of months.
I was A-OK with full tank-style losing until they showed the defense could be like this. Now a couple of guys should just give us the extra 10 points we need to win lolol
