Precedent is the 1861 Congress. Everyone who refused to certify the election should already have been expelled.
Pretty much. it is what passes for evidence in conspiracy theorist world. 99% of the evidence supports the conclusion he doesn't like, so he focuses on the 1% that does as if it means his beliefs are reasonable.
"here's the 1% of all the evidence that vaguely supports my belief, take that lib !"
I would rejoin: "so what?"
This starts looking more and more like an actual failed coup. I am very interested to see what shakes out of hte jan 6 commission's work.
we can count on the softball, spineless Dems to remain true to traditional spinelessness
'Troubling questions':
Madison Cawthorn called out by local paper over ties to Jan 6th protest
revelations in a bombs report in Rolling Stone linking him to the events at the U.S. Capitol on Jan 6th.
organizers of the Jan 6th "Stop the Steal" rally ... were reportedly in contact with Cawthorn or his staff,
"that two organizers of the Jan. 6 protests have told congressional investigators that 'multiple members of Congress were intimately involved in planning both Trump's efforts to overturn his election loss and the Jan. 6 events that turned violent,'"
the organizers, speaking anonymously, named seven Republican members of Congress who joined, either directly or through their staffers, in the effort to overturn the election.
Republican North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn was among those named."
he still continues to question the election results and recently told a Republican gathering, "When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes your duty."

Mo Brooks says he didn't help plan Jan 6 rally but his staff may have
According to two organizers and one planner involved in the event,
Brooks joined a slate of other Republican officials who participated in the planning calls with activists.
Their accusations join along with a since-deleted video from far-right activist Ali Alexander,
who also named Brooks
as someone who helped come up with the idea about the Jan. 6 riot that left five dead and many injured.

"I was the person who came up with the Jan. 6 idea with Congressman Gosar, Congressman Mo Brooks, and Congressman Andy Biggs," Alexander said in the video.
"We four schemed up on putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were voting so that — who we couldn't lobby — we could change the hearts and the minds of Republicans who were in that body hearing our loud roar from outside."

Ted Lieu is talking about inherent contempt on cable TV.
There's nothing to prevent Republicans awarding themselves the power to throw Democrats in jail when they get power again, but the power can be defeated by simply complying with Congressional subpoenas, so why not?
lol Bannon and TSA throwing Oath Keepers under the bus.
I thought it was Antifa.
Bannon will be the test case. Put it thru the court system, allow the SC to decide it once & for all.
"MJT" come pretty close to admitting Jan 6th was an attempt to overthrow the government
Whinehole very traumatized by 1/6, a day that will live in infamy
Certainly. We'll probably have to be in the lookout for domestic terror going forward on that day.
I'll keep in perspective. One day of rioting vs summer of love 2020.
It will live in infamy, but traumatized isn't the right word.
1/6 made clear that one party has abandoned electoral democracy. I'm alert to that and following the aftermath with interest. You say traumatized, but what I feel is alertness and interest.
Were you traumatized by the police riots?
Excellent.
Awaiting Fattys response.
Dumb , GA electing this dude.
