another great effort … very proud and continue to hope that frustration will not sink in with these young players
This team with an actual star player would be a really good if not dangerous playoff team.

so many laker fans in the arena smh
Imagine simmons in this up tempo team.
Keep dreaming😂🤣😅
Wow that non call on kj was assault
Now do the non call on KBD next.
indeed. his ball handling was embarrassing
the lakers are an awful matchup for keldon, since not only if he going up against Davis, but they usually have one of Jordan/Dwight packing the paint too, so there's just no interior scoring allowed, and that's all Keldon can do. his lack of 3 point shot makes him unusable offensively against LA.Keldon had his problems, as to be expected. Playing against AD is just a bad match up for him. PF against PF like Chinook would say
he's been the best player on the team this year. one thing is he didnt look that good defending AD one on one. he was much better when assigned to Jordan or Dwert and could help against ADPoeltl is killing it. Looks like a completely different player. He's dunking and posting up. Something I been wanting see him do for a long time.
he was great at everything other than his shooting efficiency. he was a lot more decisive than White with the ball in his hands, and his pick and roll game looked outstanding.Murray was great. Ran the offense way better than White and fed Poeltl all night with easy rolls to the rim. He was just hero balling too much at the end.
trueWalker got hot, but only had 10 FG attempts. The thing is they were looking for him when he got hot in the 3rd, but he couldn't get open. I wouldn't mind him being more selfish and taking bad shots with a hand in his face. I just think he doesn't do it cause in the back of his mind he's thinking the old man will bench him ASAP.
my memory doesnt go that far back. even in recent years he just let derozan isoball. or sometimes patty lolRemember when Pop used to call time out to draw up a game winning play? I don't know why he thinks a iso 2 is a good shot.
this was the most infuriating part of the game. and the worst was the possessions where they would switch on the pick and rollAnd why in did we guard Rondo and Westbrook out at the 3-point line and try to go OVER the screen? That's some of the dumbest I've ever seen. I guess that's what happens when Udoka and Messina aren't there anymore.. why were they terrified of westbrook pulling up for 3? made no sense and they kept doing it all game
How that work out Bum? respect Bruin power!
And AD, lol

That's what actually killed us. We now know that Lebron and Westbrook together doesn't work, if the Lakers misses one, they're good.
I noticed that too last night, that's so ugly to hear and see...
Um you're bragging about needing OT to beat a lottery team that played like when you're suiting 3 top 75 all-time players? I guess congrats on the big win?
White’s problem in this game was his lack of intensity. When the Lakers would make some big plays, he would casually stroll back with the ball as if nothing happened. You could see Pop’s frustration. That kind of passiveness leads to the same results as we had last year—just slowing the game down when the situation doesn’t call for it and enabling the other team to blow us out.

I also never thought we would ever have another Spurs player as slow as Kyle Anderson (referring to KBD), but here we are.
KBD is a fresh breath of air on defense compared to other guys, but Jesus Christ he needs to speed up his layups.

I still think White has peaked in the 2018 playoffs. He will never play better than that again.
Murray giveth and taketh in this game. The game would be nowhere close if it hadn’t been for his playmaking and defense in the 4th, literally looked dominant out there for a short stretch, especially during that sequence where he blocked Westbrook on a 3 pointer. No one on the team has yet shown that level of dominance, where he absolutely had his hands on everything and turned the tide for the Spurs. Unfortunately, the shots didn’t go in when it mattered.
He had a different role then. That's the most obvious answer.
Disagree. White vs the Bucks was vintage White. His defense was elite in that game. That White doesn’t show up every game, and when he doesn’t he should sit for either Lonnie or Vassell.
Sounded like a Lakers home game. Was pathetic tbh.
I also liked the call where AD lowered his shoulder and totally barrelled over White, then stumbled over his foot as he was falling to the ground...and they called it a trip on White.
the two-men game between Murray and Poeltl was pretty impressive tbh ...
Poeltl was looking great last night, especially going up the likes of AD. Jordan and Howard have obviously lost a step, but they are also still imposing in the paint.
AD burned him a few times with that spin move but hey, thats AD so it happens ... otherwise Poeltl really plays great basketball on both sides right now and thats even without the p&r pairing with Derrick White that looked solid over the last few seasons
Definitely - it's just hard AF to find a legit star player unless you're in a big market tbh.
