Enormous amount
No one even said it was a lot.
DMC needs to brush up on simple reading comprehension.
Enormous amount
Oh, the 14 hour old post. He can take it up with the DA. The media just quoted him.
Personally I don't know how much live ammo should be expected on a film set. My guess would be zero.
Too bad Dumpster wasn't on the set of Rust instead of whats her name...![]()
No one here or actually in the media.
The DA.
Do you want to continue this?
Yes or no.
from what i understand, he was rehearsing a scene which called for him to point the gun at the camera lens. so the idea that he pointed the gun at a person being the wrong part is somewhat misguided. he was supposed to point at the camera. and yes, typically, a person stands behind the camera.
what is unclear is whether the scene also would have called for him to discharge the weapon while having it pointed at the camera. im unclear as to that point.
im still learning about the subject as i read, but i do not know exactly what the standard operating procedure is re: actors handling weapons. are they tasked with being the ones who check to make sure its unloaded? or is that done before by the armorer? i'm not saying that maybe things shouldnt be changed such that actors going forward SHOULD always check, but is that the industry standard?
The industry standard is to be a sucker and that's exactly what Baldwin and the rest of the losers in Hollywood are.
You need to understand 14 hours is like 300 posts to that clown.
So your gossip feed created this fact of people being misguided. You probably also don't know the difference between and single action and a double action revolver.
my gossip feed? i'm reacting to people in this thread who have said he was ing around and pointing his gun at people irresponsibly.
this is irrelevant penis measuring over gun knowledgeYou probably also don't know the difference between and single action and a double action revolver.
It's very relevant but not so relevant to someone who has no lnowledge of guns because they don't want to be questioned while looking like a fool. Amirite?![]()
im admittedly not a gun enthusiast. i've only been to a range once.
i dont think that knowledge is necessary to address anything in my post about the situation
if you made a comment about some NFL team/player and i said "huh, yeah, well you dont even know what '382 protection' means with respect to which lineman is responsible for the MIKE"
that would be pretty dumb
dmc thinks 500 rounds of real ammunition in a movie set is not a large amount.![]()
You said "from what I understand..."
How does that jive at all with "he was ing around and pointing his gun irresponsibly"?
How do you understand what he was doing when the report hasn't been released? Ergo your gossip feed.
The gun fact is relevant. If you understood it you'd not make such a silly remark. A single action revolver has a light and smooth trigger pull, as it only needs to drop the hammer. This allows for more accurate shooting. A double action revolver has a heavier, longer trigger pull, which can be detrimental to accuracy. Older guns were single action, it would stand to reason someone might accidentally pull the trigger on a single action if they had been rehearsing with a double action. But that's just a pissing contest.
this isnt relevant to what was being discussed... ie why was he supposedly being careless aiming his gun at people, or why was the gun loaded with live ammunition (and why didnt he personally double check the gun before using it)
from what i understand is what is reported in the NYT, as they have the affidavit from the director on scene. thats where i got that info
if your posts on spurstalk is what you are referring to as "my gossip feed" then fine
Mindless jeering, flailing for purchase on the topic.
Pobrecito DMC
this is the gossip feed you are talking abotut
from the affidavit of the director who was shot but not killed, he was rehearsing for a scene which called for him to aim at the camera. so any notions that he was just ing around or aiming at somebody for no reason... dont seem to hold up at this point
what is not known, and what i have not speculated on, is if the scene for which he was rehearsing called for baldwin to shoot at the camera, rather than just aim at it. if he wasnt even supposed to fire the weapon, it would make things worse for him.
i also havent speculated on what the standard operating procedure is re: whether actors are typically expected to check the gun for themselves after it has been handed to them and declared a cold gun
For myself, were it me, I would check.
