No way, why'd you think that? He's not a finished product or close to it, he's like 22yo. While he obviously should do what he does best for the most part, it's perfectly acceptable for him to try out things that aren't yet in his comfort zone. It's called developing your game... Especially in a year where the Spurs aren't expected to be winning anything. And again, especially when we're talking about the single most important aspect of the modern game by a big margin.

It'd serve Keldon so much more to get comfortable shooting 3's than to constantly "crash the lane" that it's not even funny, tbqh.
That's what the offseason is for. To your point about the Spurs not expecting to win, why is Primo rotting away in the G-league when he should be getting on the job training with the first team?

Spurs can't keep up with this offensive pace. Something has to give.

Murray played great, everyone else played terrible. White and Lonnie disappeared again, Johnson's playing with energy and had a nice dunk but that's about it.

Defense has been non-existent, but Pacers are also hitting everything from three...I think they are like 8/10 from three or something.

Good stuff from Murray and Vassell offensively, mediocre defensively. Rest of team is trash on both ends.

When a team hits eight threes on 80% shooting in one quarter, there's not much you can do about it. If anything, Spurs are fortunate it's only a 10 pt game atm

Man, Murray with 14 already. Would be nice to see him get a 40+ piece, but we all know Pop will probably bench him to prevent it , lol.

That's what the offseason is for. To your point about the Spurs not expecting to win, why is Primo rotting away in the G-league when he should be getting on the job training with the first team?
No, the off-season is for individually working on your game, but you're never gonna get the pressure, experience, and hardships of actually busting out the moves you've worked on in an NBA game on an empty gym. There's a timing element to playing a defense, a decision-making, a managing-your-energy aspect, and so on. Or are you seriously expecting young players to come right off the bat with perfectly worked, suave-smooth, contested pull-up 3's? I seriously wonder...

And secondly, my God, is Spurstalk brain-dead and dead-set on beating the G-L horse. Primo isn't "rotting away" in the G-L, my little numb-nut. He's getting tailored training on fundamental parts of the game he's lacking in (dribbling, for starters) and will be getting quality, extensive minutes at handling the ball and a team tailored to his development, including playmaking opportunities and ball-hogging, shooting experiences, none of which he'd get riding the bench on the SanAn Spurs or playing 10 minutes a night as a 3-and-D player. Is it seriously so hard a concept that it's gotta be brought up in every single thread? Come on...

Man, nobody on the Spurs can shoot a 3 to save their lives, except for DJ on a good day and maaaybe Lonnie & Vassell whenever they're feeling it. Sad to watch. Tre and especially White.

I’m with Sugus here. We have a enough young guys at the big boy level who need minutes. This season is likely lost and is about development. Primo gets to run a team as the guy in Austin. He will still get some burn in the big league and he will still he practicing with the guys I suspect.
