This isn't a one off because of a bad candidate in VA. NJ should have been a wide open layup. When the Democrats can't run on passing economic it's so easy to just stereotype them as merely the party of woke.

The corporate donors want the climate stuff and none of the other stuff. That's why it stayed.

I'm OK with it since the climate stuff creates jobs and is better than nothing, but killing all the safety net programs that provide tangible benefits to people is an insanely moronic thing to do.

Including dental/vision in Medicare is something that I think has close to 80% approval; why on earth would you nix that?
