The performers can't see much from the stage. The police should have, along with the stage manager, promoter and/or the streaming director, stopped the show at least temporarily after the initial report though.

I can certainly accept that Travis has responsibilities. You need to prove what you claim he saw and heard from his position then tell us what his legal responsibilities were at that time.

Modern cameras are so advanced they can make situations like this look way brighter than reality. Even iphones can make almost pitch black rooms look like it’s daytime. Not saying that picture isn’t accurate, just that you can’t use it as definitive proof.

People pass out at festivals and concerts all the time. How was he supposed to know that person was dying/dead?
The security is the issue here, not Scott himself.
He may not be all the way culpable but he certainly instigated and incited the crowd with his poor choice of words and antagonistic behavior.

As far as stopping the show, though, at some point security needed to start stepping in. Also from the police:
