judge is absolutely right tbh. commenting on someone's exercise of right to remain silent is a huge no-no in criminal cases. civil is a different story

During the jury screening process, the defense and the prosecution say over and over again that a defendant remaining silent/not taking the stand isn't an indication of guilt. I've done jury duty many times, so I've heard it ad nauseum. I have no idea why the prosecutor would even bring that up.
