CA's single family zoning and liberal NIMBYism is a massive issue, and we've talked about it on this forum quite a bit. but its really bizarre that they didnt discuss the new law recently passed by Newsom which basically eliminated single family zoning in CA

California didn't just become democratic controlled two weeks ago.
The wealthy dems have the poor minorities under their thumbs though, vote for us and we'll keep giving you just enough to get by. Don't try to move into our neighborhoods though. The poor minorities fall for it.

Two completely different things. What he did as a civilian vs what he preached as his platform. When he was in office, did he ignore his campaign points?
The OP is about politicians not actually acting on their advertised beliefs. The problem with Trump is that his advertised beliefs were being acted on, and he advertised them too much.
The video isn't just about politicians though, the affluent voters are all in when it's about virtue signaling but they fold when it's time to roll up the sleeves and put their money where their mouths are.
His advertised belief wasn't being acted on. If he wanted to act on it he could have pushed for jail time for people who hire illegals. But he's one of them so obviously he wouldn't push for that.
I'm not going to argue in support of Trump. I am going to argue that the video states very clearly that the problem is blue states not living up to their party goals when they have power. The question was "what would the dems do if they had all the power" and to answer that they used California and Washington as examples to show that, despite the lawn signs, bumper stickers and hashtags, affluent liberals are just as stingy with their wealth and social exclusivity as their red counterparts. If they weren't, their goals would come to fruition in some instances and we'd see the results. Instead, class division is strongest in liberal strongholds.
Instead of addressing that, the predictable "what about Trump" responses come in along with "both sides" which, up until now, was used as fodder for ridicule.
