Primo got swagger after an impressive Summer League and opening game of the season. Now, with all the DNP's, He will slowly start to lose confidence and play ty basketball, afraid to make mistakes because of Pop. The bad thing, Spurs no longer have the veteran's for mental support after getting yelled at by Pop. Tangent: If they want shooting they need to go to Jock instead. Though not as great a shooter as Forbes, he seems to have great form and confidence and is WAY less of a detriment to the team. Especially if Drew has already abandoned his outside shot after his one attempt put a crack in the backboard. So yeah, I see why they signed Forbes, for shooting, but it has to come from someone else.

Entered the game 3Xs and each time had an almost immediate turn over. Back to back turns when it was still a game to feed Dallas momentum. With zero points scored.

His one meaningless trey when Dallas was up by 16 with less then 2 minutes to play and was playing zero defense. Game was over.

The crazy part is that the 25% includes Bryn's own 42.9%, meaning his presence somehow drains even more than 13.3 from team 3P%.
It's funny how signing Forbes pissed off both sides: those who want the Spurs to push for the playoffs because he sucks so bad, and those who want the Spurs to tank because having to watch Forbes out there is one of the most painful forms of tanking possible.
One of the biggest things I’ve noticed with Bryn is just how much of drain he puts on his own team’s resources when he enters the game.
The Spurs consistently to have to run plays for him on Offense as his self creation, athleticism, ball handling are limited. Then on Defense he has to be hidden on the opposition’s lesser threats, where he gets to “rest” a majority of the time which should be reserved for our higher usage and more consistent scoring options.
The Bryn playbook for me is quite clear:
- He is unplayable w/o Jakob and as a pairing with Tre Jones in the b/c.
- Needs to be paired with either DJ and Vassell, or DW and Vassell for spot minutes.
And people here are still defending. having Forbes on the roster. Facts just don't seem to matter to the sniffers .

Joshua Primo enters the game for Bryn Forbes
Denver.
6 minutes in the 1st half and Forms was pulled for good.
1 minutes for Primo Suave at the very end of the blowout. Disgusting.
Forbes has improved his offensive versatility from his first stint here but he's still a traffic cone on D and might have the worst bball instincts in the league (always out of position, never comes up with the loose ball). He should only be used as a offensive spark or if a three is needed. 10 minutes a game at most unless he catches fire. Patty was the better defender and could handle the ball better, but Forbes has more scoring options.
i feel like in the past 5 games or so he's been better. Not great, just better.
and Pop has still been limiting his play time. its a miracle.
You have to think some team reached out recently. Had his 1st DNP of the season and didn't even play when the game was out of reach and then the next day Sham drops this with two months until the trade deadline.
