Right, I get why we lost. I just think it's insane to lose that badly while having those stats, remembering we didn't just lose by 14, we were down big for most of the game.

What does that say? It says out team D is atrocious. In fact, even with Jacob as our starting C, we are still tied for the 23rd ranked defense. We're only giving up like 1.5 pts fewer than we did last year even with that horrible defensive roster.

Had we still had the Big 3 and put up those stats, we win by 20 plus. So I'm saying that what pop always gets credit for and why I'm souring on him to the extent I have, is that he's known as a defensive minded coach. Our defense has been flat out awful for three, now going on four years.

That's why we lose close ballgames. That's why we lose games where we shoot ~50%, 43% from 3 (on 30 attempts, no less), share the ball with 30 assists. Those are winning stats in this league 90% of the time, yet we lost by double digits, after being down by 27 at one point, at home.

There are signs of a ty team, and those are right up there.

Just tragic stuff.

We have ppl dying under bridges without healthcare in the world's wealthiest country. If that is OK or in any way righteous, then you're part of the reason our country blows ass. There are lots of other reasons we suck, but that is numero uno. A close second is that we spend 778 BILLION per year on our military. That's 17 BILLION more than all of the following countries spend on their militaries (in descending order): China, India, Russia, UK, Saudia Arabia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Australia.

You should note that only 2 of those countries are our enemies.

We coddle the wealthy at the expense of the poor and working classes all while thumping our chest at how virtuous we are. The US is a hole country.

that was always my #1 thing why i loved the early 2000 spurs. their D was killer. bring on the boring label. yeah the offense was stagnant but you knew that at the very least if we only scored 80, our D was only going to give up 78.
if we could focus on 1 thing it should be D and rebounding. defense defense defense defense. so when you draft you think of defense, when you trade you think of defense.

once you have the defensive players you like in order to be a top 3 defensive team, then you start focusing on how to get more pts.

with this current roster, we have the potential to be very good defensively on the perimeter. we have a lot of players that can switch between 1-3 positions and even the 4 position depending on who we are playing.
in the post, Poeltl is very good but he needs help. we need more size.

seeing eubanks in the starting lineup is so depressing but i know its just pops way of trying to keep the rotation of the bench the same. so he'd rather eubanks start than Young. or God forbid Landale actually play some minutes too.

every country on the planet coddles the wealthy at the expense of the poor....who do you think pays for most of what we have and most of the advances in society, the poor? NO.

private healthcare should not be the responsibility of the government, unless you are an employee of the government.

if you do not have a government job, it should be your responsibility to solve your healthcare situation, either paying out of pocket, buying insurance, or simply ignoring your healthcare altogether. It should be a personal choice that the government has no say so in. You should be able to shop around and pick your insurance company, plan, doctor, and hospital.

I don’t know how anyone could “love every minute” of losing tbh. Would love to meet folks like this in real life and see if they really talk this way or if it’s just an internet thing cause I never met folks like this. To be so focused on a group of fans and coach who should have no impact on you and your life is a terrible investment of your time. Don’t know when or how this became “cool”.

Well truthfully this organization is a massive part of my life from the age of 5 onwards, growing up in Toronto where basketball was hardly a sport Spurs basketball was a large part of my life. I have lived through the ups and downs of this organization. I simply disagree with the current strategy of what is collectively our end goal: championship contention. It took rostering 10 borderline NBA players to hopefully give us a chance at prospering again. We both are hardcore Spurs fans and you are a great contributor to this community but from a strategic standpoint, watching us stubbornly fail knowing we have a few years of decent draft picks ahead of us is comforting.
